Are you looking to grab a sweet item, or simply benefit from unique rewards? Focusing on the Great Vault is the right call! Namely, that’s a specially designed activity that’s made to provide many solid things for Shadowlands players.

Anyhow, let’s take a closer look and see everything about this weekly activity.

What’s this Chest all about?

The Great Vault: Shadowlands Weekly Chest Overview

Long before Shadowland invaded our homes, everyone did their best to claim as many weekly chests as possible. However, this thing changed in Shadowlands. Now, we are all looking to get our hands on the Great Vault

Basically, the Great Vault is a weekly chest that quite differs from rewards, missions, and everything else as well. Anyhow, you can count on some great surprises, or simply get to satisfy your killing hunger.

So, passing all 9 missions will allow you to claim some rewards. All these missions are either:

  • Missions from Raids where slaying Bosses is the right call
  • Objectives from Mythic+ Dungeons where you need to clear places
  • or things in the PvP world where mastering honor point counts

Once you’re done with everything on the list, your satisfaction will be opening the great vault and achieving one item. However, the option is to use the reward you desire only when the period is over.

Also, there’s a good catch here. Namely, you can prioritize as you like, and get what you want.

Oribos – Known Locations of Great Vault

Playing this game thought us that finding what we’re looking for isn’t always easy. But, in this case, you can easily find the location of the Great Vault.

The Great Vault is best found in a place called Oribos. There, you can find it in the Weekly Vault that’s placed in the Hall of Holding, exactly in the Ring of Fates.

The Great Vault – Objectives & Missions

As we already said, there are a total of nine objectives in the Great Vault. Each line has three missions to complete. Knowing you’re only getting one reward, there’s a high chance to prioritize what you’re doing.

So, let’s see what each line is providing.

Raiding Raiding Raiding

For everyone who is loving Raiding and Smashing, the Great Vault Objectives will be really fun. Therefore, buckle up and prepare to deal with some nasty Big Boys.

It’s simple, all there is for this part of the game is to slay three or more bosses and you will be rewarded.

It goes like this:

  • Slaying 3 Bosses will provide you only 1 item
  • Killing 6 Bosses is going to get you up to 2 items
  • Lastly, getting to defeat 9 Bosses will ensure 3 items

Easy, right? Well, prepare for long and exhausting fights, as these bosses are really hard to tackle down.

All in all, keep slaying bosses in Castle Nathria and you’ll do just fine. Killing more bosses will only provide the option to choose between 3 items rather than taking the only one.

Getting Mythic+ Dungeon Done

By getting Mythic+ Dungeons finish you are getting some really serious items. So, all that’s needed is to get as many Mythic+ Dungeons done.

The system goes like this:

  • Successfully Finish 1 Mythic+ Place is going to reward you with 1 item
  • Successfully Finish 4 Mythic+ Locations will provide at least 2 items
  • Successfully Finish 10 Mythic+ Dungeons guarantees you 3 items

As we can see, the more you grind the better chances are to get a good item. Therefore, don’t hesitate to clean as many Mythic+ Dungeons as you can.

Player vs Player Objectives

The player vs Player category is definitely straightforward and easy. That’s why you need to collect many Honor Points and get your loot from the box. It’s simple as rain – More fighting means more points. Therefore, stack up and smash that arena.

The rewarding system goes like this:

  • For 1.250 Honor points ,you will be given 1 item
  • For 2.500 Honor points, the vault guarantees you 2 valuable items
  • For 6.250 Honor points, you will be rewarded with amazing 3 items

It’s crucial to know that accumulating Rated PvP points is the only thing that counts here. On top of that, fighting more and earning points will secure more valuable items.

What’s in the Bag?

As we can see, getting good items is not easy. But, let’s take a look at what’s in the beg once you finish all the weekly assignments.

Rewards in this Weekly Activity

Now, we will discuss the best way to maximize your efforts which will secure better items. Pay attention to the next few things.

Raid Bounty:

The most crucial thing to know about raid bounties is to get them done on the Heroic Difficulty. That way, you can expect valuable bounty and items . Also, as you progress on your path, getting the loot from the first eight places will be easy.

However, the Stone Legion Generals and the Sire Denathrhius bosses will require you to defeat them at least one time.

So, it all comes to the difficulty – In case you pass all 10 castles with Normal difficulty, but pass only 7 castles with Heroic difficulty, you can expect to get the first 2 items from Heroic quality and the last piece from the Normal quality. That’s the catch.

Mythic+ Benefits:

There’s a whole system that determines the value of your items in the vault when it comes to Dungeons. Namely, it’s probably the most effective to do harder dungeons first.

Simply speaking, pay attention to what’s your 1st, 4th, and 10th Highest Key. This means that your highest Key will be in the first place, and your lowest in the last place. It goes something like this:

In the beginning of the week, you will start doing dungeons, and they all differ. So, imagine doing +15 Dungeon first, and +14 Dungeon 4th, and +!0 Dungeon 10th. The reward will be calculated in that manner.

Therefore, the calculation goes like:

  • Your first item in the Vault will be of the lvl 15 Quality
  • The second item displayed will be of the lvl 14 Quality
  • And the third item will be the lvl 10 Quality

Getting to know this system well will allow you to know exactly what to prioritize.

PvP Rewards:

When it comes to the PvP system of rewards, it’s rather simple. Namely, your item level and value is determined by the place in the bracket you get.

In other words, fighting more will enable you to acquire more points. And therefore, you will get better items.

Other Rewards

It might happen to you that some really ‘’not cool’’ items are the only once you can choose. However, that’s nearly impossible considering they change every week.

Anyhow, the disappointed ones that  want to trade their items for other ‘’currency’’ they can do it this way:

  • Brimming Anima Orb: You can trade your items for two ‘’Brimming’’ sets and get up to 500 Anima
  • Mysteriously Thrumming Orb: You can trade your items for 3 ‘’Thrumming’’ sets and get up to 750 Stygia
