  1. To kick things off, head over to Eris Morn\u2019s cozy apartment in the Last City. You can access this familiar room via the Last City destination map node.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Look for that spooky interdimensional slit near the back (only accessible if the main story campaign is completed \u2013 so remember to finish that first!).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Once inside Eris\u2019s private space, take a little hop down beneath her… creative space… and you’ll find a brand new chess set on a table. It might look a little weird tucked away here, but this is where the magic happens!<\/li>\n\n\n\n

To unlock the “Middlegame” phase (the 27 chess puzzles), you first needed to collect 60 hidden “Chess Piece” collectibles scattered throughout various destinations in the game (including Eris\u2019s flat, the Tower, EDZ, Europa, and the Nether areas from Episode: Heresy).
