This Destiny 2<\/a> weekly reset is packed with last-minute opportunities! The Rite of the Nine event, running until July 15, is throwing a dungeon-themed party in Eternity, accessible from the Third Spire social space. This shindig is your go-to for snagging holofoil and adept weapons \u2013 the fancy versions with extra perks and slick looks, some even boasting double perks and a special origin trait called Gravity Well. You can run all three dungeons \u2013 Ghosts of the Deep<\/a>, Prophecy<\/a>, and Spire of the Watcher<\/a> \u2013 with dungeon gear dropping randomly inside. Nonary Manifolds, the event currency, can be spent at weapon-specific chests in Eternity to focus your loot hunt and make some progress on your collections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This final week is being called “Lootapalooza,” featuring massively increased drop rates for dungeon weapons and Nonary Manifolds from all three dungeons. Clearing the final boss chest after completing all encounters reportedly offers even more goodies. Bungie has confirmed increased currency and weapon drops from Rite of the Nine activities, plus bonus rewards for final encounter clears. If you’re chasing specific Rite of the Nine weapon rolls or anything else from the event in the world of Eternity, this week is your absolute best chance to dive in before it vanishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new mission, “Mystikos”, is available from the Emissary of the Nine in Eternity this Tuesday. This quest challenges guardians to complete all three Rite of the Nine dungeons on Eternity mode before the next weekly reset. Successfully finishing this quest grants a single Nonary Manifold and completes the “Running the Gauntlet” Triumph for the Eternal title. Note that Explorer and Ultimatum difficulties don’t count for this specific quest. Reports from players suggest the reward for completing Mystikos is surprisingly small (just one Manifold), which some feel might be an oversight for the effort required this Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Up at the top of the spire, taking the gravity lifts grants access to the Emissary’s room. This area is now officially open and contains chests specifically attuned to particular Rite of the Nine weapon drops, theoretically reducing randomness compared to the outside chest. Inside, you’ll find a chest for the base version of a weapon (325 Manifolds) and an adept version (450 Manifolds). While this allows targeting specific weapons, each chest currently limits purchases to just one per day for that specific weapon type. This means a limited number of attempts at those focused rolls this week. These purchases aren’t guaranteed to be adept or have double perks; RNG still plays a role, making steady progress tricky for specific rolls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some feel the overall desirability of certain Rite of the Nine weapons is subjective, with many rolls being considered mediocre compared to other options in the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is also the final week of Episode: Heresy. If you’re working on triumphs, titles, adept rewards, or weapons from this episode, you’ve only got seven days left to wrap it up! These tower weekly challenges and episode objectives are about to rotate out for good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Week’s New Nightfall<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The new Nightfall this week is set in the Hellas Basin. Expect increased Vanguard rank rewards for completing vanguard strikes and the Nightfall itself. Modifiers include Overcharge (Machine Guns), Void Surge, Solar Threat, Barrier, and Unstoppable champions. Fire Pit, Galvanized, and Shielded Foes are also active. The week’s Nightfall weapon rewards are the Wild Style Grenade Launcher and the Cruel Mercy Pulse Rifle (adept version from Grandmaster). This may be the last chance to acquire the Wild Style for some time, as its adept variant reportedly won’t drop after Edge of Fate. Facing these enemies with the right loadout will be key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GM Nightfall: Bring on the Master Modifiers!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Grandmaster Nightfall features increased Vanguard rank, Extinguish (revives cost Glimmer!), Limited Revives, and Chaff. It also includes Overcharge (Machine Guns), Void Surge, Solar Threat, and Champion Foes with more health. Fire Pit is present as well. While Grandmaster Nightfalls as a specific activity<\/em> are being sunset, the difficulty scaling and rewards featuring master modifiers are expected to carry over to a new system in Edge of Fate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Onslaught (Expert): Dealing with Expert Modifiers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Expert version of the Onslaught playlist features Overcharges on Trace Rifles and Swords. Modifiers include Ashes to Ashes and Brawn. The boss rotation includes the Tormentor. Galvanized, Arachno, and Fire Pit are also active. Navigating these expert modifiers will require teamwork. This activity features a locked loadout, adding to the challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ritual Activities: Gambit & Crucible Chaos<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

These ritual activities are getting a shake-up soon! Gambit is reportedly set to be less prominent for a few months, though an increased Gambit rank is available this week. Bounties focus on defeating targets with Arc, Solar, Stasis, or Void subclasses, with bonuses for ability and Guardian final blows to help your progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Crucible, offerings include Control, Supremacy, Rumble, Hardware Mix, and a new Collision variant (a high-intensity 3v3 shootout over shifting zones). Iron Banner is also sticking around for a second week, featuring the Tribute game mode. Iron Banner weapons available include the Claw of the Wolf pulse rifle, Criminal’s Dagger hand cannon, and Tusk of the Boar. This will be the final week for Trials of Osiris as well, kicking off on Friday. Get your last runs in this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
