Choose an upgrade for the extras you want rather than treating it as the price of admission.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-happened-to-project-camelot\">What happened to Project Camelot?<\/h2>\n<p>Project Camelot was a rumored name associated with the WoW Classic Plus project before the Forever reveal at BlizzCon 2026. Forever exists alongside modern WoW and Classic as a permanent destination, with its story positioned after the Forsaken Kingdom campaign and before the original <a href=\"#\" data-wowhead=\"zone=2717&amp;domain=forever\">Molten Core<\/a> raid.<\/p>\n<p>The Classic+ name feels settled to players who point to Blizzard staff using it at BlizzCon and are tired of arguments over the label.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"release-date-and-subscription-access\">Release date and subscription access<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/epiccarry.com\/blogs\/wow-forever-release-date\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WoW Forever release date<\/a> was a worldwide launch. You do not need a separate game purchase to enter with your existing subscription, although the Skyborne race requires an optional upgrade.<\/p>\n<p>Upgrade packs start at <strong>$30<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The beta began on September 17, 2026. New content serves the leveling journey as well as characters at the cap.<\/p>\n<p>The world additions include three new zones, changes to existing areas and more than 1,000 new quests. Exploration and community take priority over a single central hero&#39;s storyline.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"skyborne-class-combinations-and-talents\">Skyborne, class combinations and talents<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Skyborne Elves<\/strong> are the new playable race, with a home in one of the added zones. Fresh race and class combinations, new skills and talent changes are part of Forever&#39;s character updates.<\/p>\n<p>The reveal trailer appeared to include a Forsaken Paladin, a Dwarf Shaman and an Orc Mage.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"dungeons-raids-and-loot\">Dungeons, raids and loot<\/h2>\n<p>Forever&#39;s content lineup includes nine new dungeons.
