New raids unlock on December 9, and Blizzard lists more raids, dungeons, PvP updates, world content, additional quests across the level 1\u201360 journey, Hardcore, a revamped iconic raid, and further major updates as the road beyond launch. The beta began September 17, and the full launch is November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST (or PDT, as one source states) globally. Access at launch is included with a World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time, and optional upgrade editions are available to pre-purchase on the Battle.net Shop. The Skyborne Epic Pack and the limited-time Warcraft Forever Collection included beta access beginning September 17.<\/p>\n

Blizzard describes WoW Forever as a permanent home alongside modern and Classic WoW, not a mode, a season, or a new version of Classic. It is set after the events of Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core.<\/p>\n
The adventure begins across the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor with new and reimagined regions and more than a thousand new quests woven through the level 1\u201360 journey. Confirmed regions include Mount Hyjal, where you explore the aftermath of Archimonde's defeat and Darkwhisper Gorge; Shen'dralas, a mystery between Mulgore and Desolace tied to the Shen'dralar, Eldre'Thalas, Dire Maul and the centaur tribes; the Riverglades frontier, with more than 150 new quests across much of the mid-30s to mid-40s; and Zephras Isle, an elemental skybound starting experience from levels 1 through 12.<\/p>\n
Zephras Isle is home to the Skyborne, a new playable race whose members choose the Horde or the Alliance at character creation. Horde-aligned Skyborne embrace elemental traditions and gain access to the Shaman class, while Alliance-aligned Skyborne pursue their ancestors' arcane legacy and gain access to the Mage class. Both factions can also play Warriors, Hunters, Rogues and Druids, including new Skyborne druid forms created for the race, along with new racials, customizations, voices, dances and visual options. Blizzard states that class updates focus on talents and abilities you notice, meaningful trade-offs, and reasons to value what each class brings, covering gaps without erasing what makes each class unique.<\/p>\n
Nine new dungeons are confirmed: the Hall of Thanes beneath Ironforge, the Ruins of Lordaeron, a mysterious excavation site above Whelgar's Excavation, the City of Dalaran, Blackmaw Hold, the Drowned City, Krol'dok Stronghold, Alcaz Prison, and the Shaper's Terrace. For raids, Hyjal Summit and the Barrow Deeps bring new tier sets and a legendary reward; the Barrow Deeps is planned as a maximum-level 10-player challenge, while Hyjal Summit brings 20-player raid encounters. For PvP, the Darkspear Islands introduce a 15 vs 15 Battleground off the coast of Kalimdor, combining strategic control points with Arathi Basin-style flag captures and defense.<\/p>\n
Legacy progression supports players who love leveling and running alts, and Camping lets you craft campfires in the outdoor world so other adventurers can stop by, contribute through professions and share campsite buffs. Player choice carries through opt-in Transmog, modern and Classic visual presets, HD and SD character-model options, restored Classic animations for HD models, and official gamepad support.
