Diablo 4 patch 3.2.1 hotfixes have closed some of the season's biggest blockers and exploits, including the Old Tristram portal that ate Wirt's Lucky Coins, the Prime Evil Council loot farm, and the endlessly respawning Butcher. The most recent round is hotfix 4, which was live as of September 22, 2026. If your farm route ran through any of those, it has changed.<\/p>\n
The headline fix is the Tristram fountain: using Wirt's Lucky Coins to start the climactic boss battle consumed the item but failed to open the portal. That fight is both the thematic payoff of the season's secret quest and one of its most consistent sources of high-tier loot, so the bug blocked progression and farming at once.<\/p>\n
The Prime Evil Council fight could be used to gain excessive amounts of experience and loot, and the cooldown for the Council granting loot has been increased. A separate exploit let The Butcher be spawned infinitely in Nightmare Dungeons.<\/p>\n
Two damage bugs were closed on the balance side. Fiend of Abbadon's Lesser Demon Bonus upgrade allowed Warlocks to deal unintended damage, and the upgrade has since been re-enabled. The 5-set bonus for the Old Mountain Talisman combined with Grief also produced unintended damage.<\/p>\n

A September 22, 2026 round covered several unrelated breakages. Transfiguring 3 Ancestral Stealth Rune Word armors granted a Stealth with the power from Enigma. Splinter of the Mother did not correctly clear its stacks and Stun you when used with Leoric's Crown. Rogue's Dance of Knives could sometimes deal far higher damage than intended. Messerschmidt's Reaver could heal enemies.<\/p>\n
That round also fixed Tree of Whispers caches that could not be claimed, previous seasonal progress not resetting on new seasonal Solo Self-Found characters \u2014 the mode has since been re-enabled \u2014 and items in the trade window not displaying properly. Various stability fixes shipped alongside them.<\/p>\n
Patch 3.2.1 arrived with Season 15, the Season of Hell's Legacy, which went live on September 15 at 9:30 a.m. PDT. Its notes were mostly item and class fixes rather than hotfixes: Stone of Jordan not properly interacting with Holy damage effects, Messerschmidt's Reaver having incorrect class availability restrictions, and a run of Leoric's Crown problems \u2014 Soul Splinter Effects not applying, no Occultist enchanting, salvaging not unlocking its transmog, and it not appearing in Loot Filter rules for specific Uniques.<\/p>\n
Other launch fixes covered Crown of Lucion not consistently activating when Skills were cast at no Resource cost, Nemesis Bracers not spawning elite packs from shrines, Squirt's Blouse buff stacks randomly falling off, In-Geom's cooldown reduction being 12 seconds instead of 15, and Henri's Perquisition carrying an extra Thorns affix. Splinter of the Mother stacks could reset after mounting, Splinter of Lies did not apply its Vulnerable effect while mounted, and Splinter of Pain could reduce movement speed despite Splinter of the Mother granting Unhindered. Wakening Nightmare portals could also appear during Prologue quests and allow unintended campaign progression.<\/p>\n
Work down this list before you file anything. If your problem is the Tristram portal, the Council payout rate, a Butcher that keeps coming back, Warlock Fiend of Abbadon damage, or the Old Mountain Talisman and Grief interaction, it was addressed in the hotfix 4 round. If it is a class quest that will not complete, a missing Resplendent Spark, or missing Kurast Undercity crafting materials, that was fixed in the same round.<\/p>\n
