The Coren Direbrew<\/a> loot fix in the Midnight 12.1 hotfixes changed how Brewfest<\/a> drops assign their required level. Items that drop from Coren Direbrew<\/a> now have the required level set to the player who receives the item, so a low-level character who directly receives a drop can equip it immediately; the level barrier only applies to items traded from a higher-level player. The same items can still be traded, but a lower-level player who receives an item traded from a higher-level character will have to reach the required level before they can equip it.<\/p>\n

What the Coren Direbrew loot fix changed<\/h2>\n

Before the fix, Coren Direbrew<\/a>'s Brewfest<\/a> drops used a fixed required level. The hotfix now ties the required level on those items to the player who receives the drop. This is listed under the Brewfest<\/a> section of the September 29<\/strong> hotfix batch, alongside a fix to Ula'tek's Mother's Wrath in The Venomous Abyss<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Why low-level characters can't equip the drops<\/h2>\n

The character has to reach the required level before the item can be equipped. The hotfix notes explicitly define the required level as matching the level of the player who receives the item, so the specific number depends on the character that received the drop.<\/p>\n

How trading still works<\/h2>\n

Items from Coren Direbrew<\/a> can still be traded after they drop, but the player who ends up with the item at lower levels will have to reach the required level to equip it. That means a group can pass a drop to the character who wants it, and that character equips it once they hit the required level.<\/p>\n
