All curios gain a 5th rank for more power and effects, and the new additions are one Utility Curio, the Dusty Loa Totem, and one Combat Curio, the Viperwind Idol. You acquire both the new curios and the new ranks from the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan activity that arrives with the patch.

What the 5th curio rank does

Every curio in the game gets a 5th rank once Labyrinths go live in Patch 12.1.5, and that rank grants more power and effects than the ranks below it. The new curios are shown at Rank 5/5, so the 5th rank is the fully upgraded state you are working toward.

The two new curios

Patch 12.1.5 adds one Combat Curio and one Utility Curio to the Delve curio pool.

Curio

Type

Dusty Loa Totem

Utility Curio

Viperwind Idol

Combat Curio

Where you get the new curios and ranks

Both the new curios and the 5th rank for existing curios come from the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan, the new Labyrinth activity released in Patch 12.1.5. Labyrinths are a new long-form mode for Delves, described as the "mega-dungeons" of Delves, with a dedicated progression system and unlocks and rewards scaled to the challenge. The first Labyrinth is the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan, an ancient Amani funeral complex sealed for centuries and now reopened, where looters and Vilebranch comb the complex for relics while the interred spirits defend it. You run it with Valeera Sanguinar as your companion, exactly as a Delve sends you in with a companion. You can tackle a Labyrinth in a single epic session or one wing at a time, and each additional room you complete brings more chances at treasure and more risk.

If you want the tier requirements for that content handled for you, a WoW Delves Tier Unlock Boost takes the unlocking work off your hands.

When the update goes live

Midnight's 12.1.5 content update arrives October 13 with weekly maintenance. The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan is a massive, Delve-like gauntlet with nine chambers, a Tier 11 solo challenge, Mythic gear, cosmetics and titles. The patch also brings the single-boss raid The Unbinding of Kith'ix, the Aqir Invasion outdoor event, and Ascendant Venomstones.

Delve Curio changes in 12.1.5 bring a 5th rank for every existing Curio and two new ones, the Dusty Loa Totem and the Viperwind Idol.

[4,3
1489,1488,1490,45
97
127
post-41877","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-wow","category-all","tag-5th-curio-rank-wow","tag-delves-curio-changes-1215","tag-new-curios-patch-1215","tag-wow","author-dina

Yes.
