A Pit Lord locked in the Tol Barad prison, Argaloth poses a formidable challenge, mirroring Brutallus’ appearance and mechanics from a Burning Crusade raid. This enemy will punish you for being unfamiliar with his tactics; the fight with him is a race against time, as his health pool is vast and the berserk time window is extremely narrow, sitting at only 5 minutes.

Here’s what you can expect when fighting Argaloth and what to do with it:
- As was mentioned, he becomes enraged upon the five-minute mark of the fight; be sure to pour in some good and consistent damage;
- Cut your raid group into two halves, with an equal amount of tanks in each one, and have each player standing close to the boss as Argaloth slashes all players close to him with the Meteor Slash ability. The damage divides between targets slashed in a cone. If left alone, your tank may die to this;
- His other ability is Fel Firestorm, which creates Fel Flames on the ground, multiplying their amount within the 15-second time frame and dealing fire damage. Don’t stand in the fire!
- Finally, he will choose three players or eight players (depending on the raid size) to envelop them in darkness with the Consuming Darkness spell. This debuff is dispellable, so let your casters pay attention to a current target being debuffed.
Why can’t other Baradin Hold bosses be accessed in Phase 1 during Baradin Hold Boost?
Other Baradin Hold bosses — Occu’thar and Alizabal — cannot be accessed from the beginning of the expansion since it’s one of the unique Cataclysm gameplay features where new bosses are added to Baradin Hold with updates. Occu’thar will be added along with the Firelands update while Alizabal will arrive with a final content update of the Cataclysm expansion — the Dragon Soul raid. Their loot will increase in power accordingly, but the older Baradin Hold bosses’ gear will remain intact.
