In WoW Classic, the Stormpike Guard is an Alliance-only faction that was introduced to WoW Classic alongside the Alterac Valley Battleground. Dwarves from the Stormpike clan, who originally hail from the Alterac Mountains, have formed an expedition known as the Stormpike Guard. Despite being at open war with the Frostwolf Clan, Orcs who live at the valley’s southern end, the Stormpike Guard is exploring Alterac Valley for relics and artifacts of dwarven past. Gaining favor with the Stormpike Guard requires taking part in the battleground of Alterac Valley and either accomplishing objectives or killing Stormpike Guard soldiers.

Getting along with this faction will get you a lot of advantages in PvP. Gaining access to a rare Frostwolf mount is a major incentive to advance in the reputation system. All Alliance members who aren’t dwarves can get an dwarven racial Ram mount by reaching Exalted status with this faction, which is also necessary to get the Justicar meta-achievement and character title.

You’ll need to spend a lot of time in a battleground, but this group is significantly more generous with reputation gains than the Knights of Arathor and the Silverwing Sentinels.
