Blizzard has released new hotfixes for the Season of Discovery. These updates include changes to the Poacher’s Cave tunnel, various class adjustments, and fixes for Molten Core mechanics.
Poacher’s Cave Tunnel
- Each side of the tunnel between Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes now has an independent cooldown. This means players can return quicker.
- Smoke asphyxiation still limits the use of the tunnel to twice an hour.
Molten Core Adjustments
- Players can no longer line of sight Flamewaker Priests from Sulfuron Harbinger or outrange them to prevent the cast from Dark Mending. It must be interrupted!
- Recast time and cooldown of Dark Mending have been adjusted so players can interrupt it more effectively.
Wow Sod Hotfixes Druid
- Moonkin Form — Now decreases all threat generated by Nature and Arcane spells by 30%.
Wow Sod Hotfixes Hunter
- T.N.T. Rune — Increases Explosive Trap initial damage and Immolation Trap periodic damage based on 25% of the Hunter’s Attack Power (previously 50%). Now uses the higher of melee and ranged Attack Power (previously always melee).
Wow Sod Hotfixes Mage
- Molten Core Set Bonus — Fixed to properly benefit from the Temporal Beacon during the last 6 seconds of its duration.
- Arcane Blast — Healing from Mage Regeneration is now correctly increased by Arcane Blast.
Wow Sod Hotfixes Paladin
- Vengeance Talent — Retribution Paladins now gain 6% threat reduction per rank of the Vengeance talent, but this is disabled while Righteous Fury is active.
Wow Sod Hotfixes Priest
- Homunculi Behavior — Homunculi are now less aggressive in seeking targets that the Priest is not in combat with.
Wow Sod Hotfixes Rogue
- 6-Piece Set — Can no longer trigger incorrectly from Sebacious Poison.
Wow Sod Hotfixes Shaman
- Spirit Wolves — The Spirit Wolves summoned by Feral Spirits now display all four of their active abilities on their pet bar.
Wow Sod Hotfixes Warrior
- Khonsu Dialogue — Khonsu now always speaks the correct line when players are victorious.
- Tier 1 Warrior 2-Piece Set Bonus — Tactician will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook.

Blizzard has made some exciting changes to the Season of Discovery. Now, the Poacher’s Cave tunnel has independent cooldowns on both sides, so players can return faster. Just remember, smoke asphyxiation still limits you to using it twice an hour.
In Molten Core, you can’t hide from Flamewaker Priests anymore. You’ll need to interrupt their Dark Mending spell. They made the timing easier for you to do that.
For different classes, there are some neat updates. Druids in Moonkin Form will now generate less threat. Hunters’ traps will now do damage based on 25% of their attack power. Mages have fixes for their Molten Core set and Arcane Blast healing. Paladins have better threat reduction with the Vengeance talent. Priests will find their Homunculi less aggressive. Warriors get correct lines from Khonsu and a fix for their Tier 1 set bonus.
