Each new expansion brings a new version of the Glory of the Hero meta-achievement, rewarding players for their hard work with a new (most often unique) mount. WoW Dragonflight, being an expansion all about flights and dragons, keeps surprising us with ground mounts and the one we get as GotH meta-achievement reward continues the tradition. But we’ll talk about that later.
Here, we will tell you everything you need to know about all 25 smaller achievements, which take place in all eight dungeons available, including entering coordinates and small but useful tips. Let’s begin.
Glory of the Dragonflight Hero Meta-Achievement Dungeons
Right now, there are seven new dungeons, each having 3 to 5 bosses in four Dragonflight zones. The eighth dungeon, Uldaman, is not new at all, but it was renewed especially for the latest WoW expansion. It is in the Badlands, Eastern Kingdoms. This is a very handy table with a general information about each dungeon.

Rewards
The rewards are usual for such meta-achievements: a bunch of achievement points and a mount. This time it is a… snail Shellack.
Apart from a mount, each achievement rewards players with 10 achievement points. The meta-achievement gives an additional 25 points. So the total number of achievement points you can get for completing the Glory of the Dragonflight Hero is 270.

GotH Achievements Detailed Description
And now to the most interesting part of our guide. We will tell you how exactly you can get each of these achievements. What to pay attention to, what to avoid, and how to save your time. We grouped achievements into dungeons they take place in for better navigation.
NB: All achievements should be completed only on Mythic difficulty – any other variation of the dungeon would not count.
Algeth’ar Academy
Duck, Duck, Spruce!
Description: Defeat the Overgrown Ancient while all party members have a Well-Fed Duckling on their head in Algeth’ar Academy on Mythic difficulty.
What to do: There is a pool behind the boss. Go there and click on a duckling. You’ll get a 65% movement speed decreasing debuff, but it should not cause you lots of troubles if your gear is good. Defeat a boss in a usual way after everyone has put a duckling on their heads.
Just reset the boss if you can’t interact with a duckling.
See Me After Class
Description: Defeat Vexamus without players absorbing any Arcane Orbs in Algeth’ar Academy.
What to do: Drag the boss to the outer circle of the fighting area and kite him around. MDDs should try not to stand behind the boss and avoid approaching orbs.
Squad Goals
Description: Defeat Crawth after simultaneously activating both Goals in Algeth’ar Academy.
What to do: Two selected players toss the first four balls (at 75% of boss’s HP) into the gates; the fifth ball stays untouched. Then at 45% of HP there will appear another 5 balls. Pick up two and simultaneously toss them into the gates as well. Use voice or /pull command to do it at the same moment.
Brackenhide Hollow
Growlbossify
Description: Defeat Hackclaw’s War-Band after freeing Chief Softpaw, equipping her with a spear and shield, and making sure she survives in Brackenhide Hollow.
What to do: Chief Softpaw sits in the cage in front of the boss. You can free him only after the beginning of a fight. Equip him with his weapon and shield, otherwise he will run in circles around the fighting arena, being feared constantly and might even run away from the room. If so, just reset the boss.
Chief Softpaw should survive in this battle, and you’ll get your achievement.
So You Can Kill This in a Way That Matters…
Description: Defeat Decatriarch Wratheye after finding and planting three Resilient Mushrooms, then destroying them with Decaystrike in Brackenhide Hollow.
What to do: You can find the mushrooms above the boss, upstairs. Interact with them after the beginning of a fight (you won’t be able to do it before anyway). Plant and let the tank destroy them with Decaystrike. The tank will get a nasty debuff for 15 seconds, so trample down only one mushroom at a time.
All Bark, All Bite
Description: Defeat Treemouth after every player has been consumed at least once in Brackenhide Hollow.
What to do: Let the boss eat you, but don’t touch the shield that covers it. Focus on staying alive instead. Run fast as soon as it spits you not to get severe damage from abilities and adds.
Halls of Infusion
Hungry Hungry Hornswog
Description: Defeat the Gulping Goliath after forcing it to become Hangry and devour 10 Curious Swoglets in Halls of Infusion.
What to do: Druids or Shamans are of an expert use here. Gather 10 Curious Swoglet in the corner of an arena, using Mass Entanglement, Ring of Peace or similar abilities. Skip the first Gulp, as the boss should be Hangry; complete the achievement with the second Gulp.
Toxicity Strike Team
Description: Defeat the Toxic Swogmother after Purging the Water Intakes in Halls of Infusion.
What to do: Go left after you’ve defeated the first boss till you enter the Intake Reservoir room. Press the button on a machine inside the room to summon Toxic Swogmother.
Pull the add faster, else it will jump into the pipe under the ceiling. You’ll need long distance skills to get it down. Balance Druids, for example, have additional 5 yards to some of their spells, so you can use this class.
Go With the Flow
Description: Defeat the Primal Tsunami after slaying three Flow Control Units in Halls of Infusion.
What to do: Once you are kicked into corridors during the intermission, turn around and head towards the end of a corridor. Kill an add you will find there. Get back to the boss and act in a usual way. The boss will be slightly empowered, but it should not cost you too many troubles nonetheless.
Neltharus
Knowledge is… Preserved?
Description: Defeat Chargath, Bane of Scales while burning less than 15 books in Neltharus.
What to do: Make sure all boss’s mechanics are directed towards the stairs and away from the books. Do whatever you can to interrupt the Fiery Focus, or all the books will burn. In case your group’s DPS isn’t enough to do everything fast, use Grounding Spears to trip Chargath up – this will do the trick. Remember, however, that breaking the chains will put a stacking debuff on a player, so be ready.
Liquid Hot Magma
Description: Defeat Magmatusk after it has been mutated with Draconic Tincture in Neltharus.
What to do: Find a Draconic Tincture on the table near the entrance. Pick it up and throw it into the boss until he mutates (will have 5 stacks of Magma Tentacle). Now kill the boss. That’s it.
Ready for Raiding VIII
Description: Defeat Forgemaster Gorek without being struck by Forgestorm, Forgefire, Blazing Eruptions, another player’s Blazing Aegis, or the final slam of Heated Swings in Neltharus.
What to do: The task is pretty simple: avoid every single avoidable attack. The faster you will kill the boss, the easier your job will be. Note that this is a personal achievement.
Ruby Life Pools
Dragon Kill Points
Description: Defeat Melidrussa after defeating 40 of her chamber’s Infused Whelps in Ruby Life Pools.
What to do: There are several piles of eggs in a corridor before you enter a boss’s room. Each pile has 10 eggs in it. All you need to do is to run through four piles and kill all the whelps together with the boss.
Are You My Broodmother?
Description: Defeat Kyrakka and Erkhart Stormvein after chilling, searing, tempering, and keeping alive the Nascent Ruby Egg in Ruby Life Pools.
What to do: You will find a Nascent Ruby Egg near the dungeon entrance behind the pillar in the grass. Though everyone can pick it up, we still recommend tanks to carry it. You should withstand certain abilities from all bosses in the dungeon.
Melidrussa Chillworn casts Hailbombs; the item you carry becomes Chilled Ruby Egg with gray fog on the egg;
Kokia Blazehoof casts a Ritual of Blazebinding; the egg turns into Seared Ruby Egg with red fog around;
Kyrakka casts Roaring Firebreath; the item becomes a Tempered Ruby Egg and falls to the floor. Now healers are to keep it alive until Kyrakka and Erkhart Stormvein are defeated.
NB: Mounts and death cause an egg drop and it disappears in 5 seconds if no one picks it up. Druids can still use their forms, even a stag form.
Does Steam Do Fire Damage?
Description: Defeat Kokia Blazehoof after heating up 4 life pools with Molten Boulder in Ruby Life Pools.
What to do: One of a few annoying achievements for this Glory of the Hero.
Tank and a Healer drag the boss to the first pool; tank stays in a pool with the boss, and a healer positions themselves right in front of it. DDs finish the add meanwhile, and stay so the boulder could roll through the pool. If everything is good, you’ll see steam above the pool.
Interrupt everything that the add casts and move on to the next pool. The void zone isn’t very scary, so act calm.
The Azure Vault
You Must Be Made of Hide
Description: Defeat Umbrelskul without being hit by a polymorph trap or triggering a Shriek in The Azure Vault.
What to do: The achievement includes the entire dungeon and not only a certain boss, as we’ve got accustomed. While moving along the instance, you will find little blue runes on the ground and whelps, surrounded by circles. You are to finish the last boss, triggering none of the mobs or stepping on a single rune.
The Cracked Crystal
Description: Defeat Umbrelskul after smashing Shimmering Geodes with Dragon Strike and destroying 9 Geode Chunks in The Azure Vault.
What to do: There are three purple geodes in three corners of the boss’s fighting area. Move the boss into each of them and let it cast Dragon Strike to hit the geodes. Out of every destroyed geode, three small mobs will appear. Defeat them and the boss.
Icy What You Did There
Description: Defeat Telash Greywing after using Icy Devastator 12 times on an Icy Crystal to create a Very Icy Crystal in The Azure Vault.
What to do: Locate the crystal inside the fighting area before pulling the boss. After the combat begins, pay attention to Frost Bomb ability, as an Icy Devastator is being cast right after it. Icy Devastator has only four ticks and all players are to run to the crystal while the DoT is still ticking. You need 12 ticks on a crystal for it to get its final form.
You may want to avoid frozen ground damage, but it’s not severe, so if your gear is good enough, just ignore it (don’t forget to warn a healer in this case).
The crystal will change its namings according to a number of ticks it has: Icy crystal > Slightly Icy Crystal > Somewhat Icy Crystal > Moderately Icy Crystal > Very Icy Crystal.
Nokhud Offensive
Weapons of the Maruukai
Description: Defeat Teera and Maruuk while holding the Spear of Tolui, War Axe of Berke, and Bow of Sartaq in The Nokhud Offensive.
What to do: There are three weapons in three caves: Tainted Spear of Tolui, Tainted Bow of Sartaq, and Tainted War Axe of Berke. You are to defeat the boss, holding all three weapons. Note that all three put a debuff on a player who holds them and disappears once a player dies, so you are to pick it up again.
Nokhud Deed Goes Unnoticed
Description: Defeat Balakar Khan after healing Ohn’ahra to full health in The Nokhud Offensive.
What to do: Just heal the bird after the boss drains her powers.
What Are The Chances…
Description: Defeat the Raging Tempest after striking a single player with 5 Lightning Strikes simultaneously and defeating a Storm Elemental in The Nokhud Offensive.
What to do: Position a party in a loose square around the tank. Ignore your instincts and don’t spread away once everyone is targeted with large blue circles. The tank should stay at the spot where all the circles cross and survive 5 lightning strikes to summon a Storm Elemental. The biggest challenge is spheres, which appear together with an add. Use Bloodlust to kill the add as fast as you can to avoid chaotic movement and redundant damage.
Ohuna Incubation
Description: Deliver eight warm ohuna eggs to Ohuna Keeper Taruk in a single visit to The Nokhud Offensive.
What to do: You don’t need to start fights to complete an achievement.
There are at least ten objects, which look like a nest on the ground – no actual eggs in them. You need only eight, so there is an opportunity to make a mistake. Only one egg may be delivered at a time. Bring all eight to Ohuna Egg Basket nearby Ohuna Keeper Taruk. There is no need to talk to Taruk. Just reset the dungeon if you messed up.
Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr
No, You’re Stunning!
Description: Defeat Sentinel Talondras after simultaneously stunning both Sentinel Talondras and all party members in Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr.
What to do: The boss spawns orbs throughout a fight. These orbs stun anyone who goes through them. You will need 5 orbs for each party member and 3 for a boss, as the first two will only remove its defensive buff. Rush towards the nearest orb once the boss is stunned by a third sphere.
It’s a Trogg Eat Trogg World
Description: Defeat Bromach while 10 or more Stonevault Troggs are still alive in Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr.
What to do: You need to wait for the boss to summon four waves of mobs without killing them. Also avoid using AOE abilities not to kill mobs accidentally. However, DDs should watch totems appearing and destroy them.
Like Sands Through the Hourglass
Description: Defeat Chrono-Lord Deios after catching every Eternity Orb as it falls to the ground in Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr.
What to do: This is the hardest Glory of the Dragonflight Hero achievement so far.
The best strategy is to bind a player to one of the legs of the boss; and no matter what happens and where that leg is, this player is responsible for that area. Otherwise you’ll have a real Brownian motion and a wipe as a result.
You will need every DPS your group has to finish a fight as fast as you can. Use Bloodlust, flasks, potions, gear and weapon enchantments, everything that will increase your damage. You may also position group members at the walls not to be knocked back too far away. It is also helpful to respec your Healer into a DD to increase global DPS and shorten the time in combat.
