World of warcraft: Season of Discovery AQ20 | Mounts

Only mounts you’ll see are the bugs you fight, not the ones you ride. In this outdoor raid dungeon, located in the southern sands of Silithus, any dreams of mounted glory are crushed faster than you can say Cenarion Hold. So, while you’re here fighting giant insects for Ahn’Qiraj loot, leave the dreams of cool mounts at the door. You’re walking this one out.

Wow SoD Ruins of Ahn’qiraj | Raid composition

AQ20 is a 20-player raid where each spot counts – so bring the right classes or prepare to be bug food. The bosses hit hard, the swarms hit harder, and without a balanced group, even the best loot won’t save you. From tanks juggling threat to casters churning out spell damage at every crystal, every class has a job. This is Phase 5 of WoW classic – bring your nature resistance, a little luck, and pray you’re not the one player who gets paralyzed while a larva inches closer.

Wow SoD AQ20 | boss tactics

The Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj, also known as AQ20, is a 20-player raid dungeon located in the southern region of Silithus in WoW Classic. This raid includes six bosses, each with unique tactics and loot, where players can earn class-specific items, gain reputation with the Cenarion Circle, and collect valuable tokens to redeem for special rewards. In AQ20, players face challenging encounters, gain epic items, and work through trash mobs as they advance toward the final boss, Ossirian the Unscarred. Expect a similar loot system to Zul’Gurub, and use crowd control and defense strategies to overcome this outdoor raid.

  1. Kurinnaxx – Sand, Silence, Ouch!
  2. General Rajaxx – Waves of Whoops!
  3. Ossirian the Unscarred – Crystal Clear Danger!
  4. Buru the Gorger – Egg-splosive Encounter!
  5. Moam – Mana Draining Menace!
  6. Ayamiss the Hunter – Buzzing Aerial Attack!

World of warcraft: Season of Discovery Kurinnaxx Guide

Welcome to Kurinnaxx, the most sand-loving, healer-hating, tank-punishing scorpion in the AQ20 ruins. This oversized pincushion has two favorite pastimes: stacking deadly debuffs on tanks and sprinkling sand traps like confetti on random raid members. If you thought getting silenced for 20 seconds in the middle of a raid was fun, you’re in for a treat. Don’t get too close, watch your debuffs, and pray your healer hasn’t wandered into a sand trap themselves.

World of warcraft: Season of Discovery General Rajaxx Guide

General Rajaxx believes in making you earn your raid loot through endless waves of bug reinforcements. If you’re a fan of long fights, unpredictable aggro, and a raid room constantly teetering on the edge of chaos, Rajaxx is your guy. He’ll happily throw wave after wave of bugs at you, draining your mana and your sanity. Once you’re beaten down, he’ll stroll in to finish the job himself. Don’t get too attached to Andorov – he might not make it through this one.

Before starting the fight, make sure your raid is fully prepared because once you speak to Andorov, the waves begin, and there’s no turning back. Between each wave, focus on quickly taking down the mini-boss while using crowd control to keep the adds under control. Healers, conserve mana – it’s a marathon, not a sprint, so bandage if possible. During General Rajaxx’s Thundercrash, hug the walls to reduce knockbacks, and tanks need to regain aggro quickly after each one. Finally, keep a close eye on Andorov, as his healing aura makes the fight much easier; if he goes down, expect a rougher ride!

World of warcraft: Season of Discovery Buru the Gorger Guide

Meet Buru the Gorger, AQ20’s egg-loving horror. She’s here to test your patience, your kiting skills, and your healer’s endurance. Phase 1? You’ll be running around in circles, trying not to get dismembered while dragging her over fragile eggs. Phase 2? She drops her defenses, but with Creeping Plague quickly stacking, it’s a race against time. Let’s hope you like sprinting – because Buru’s idea of fun is making sure no one stands still for too long.

Before the fight, clear any nearby adds, including the giant ooze on the ramp, to prevent any surprises mid-fight. During Phase 1, stay mobile – Buru picks a random raid member to chase, and kiting her over weakened eggs is essential to chipping away her health. DPS should prepare eggs by damaging them, but don’t fully break them until she’s over one. Tanks should be ready to handle any spawned Hatchlings from broken eggs. Once Buru’s health drops below 20%, Phase 2 starts. At this point, she’s vulnerable, but Creeping Plague will rapidly increase damage across the raid, so burst her down quickly and focus on AOE heals to survive. Good luck – and keep moving!

World of warcraft: Season of Discovery Moam Guide

Moam is AQ20’s mana-hungry monster. He’ll gleefully suck the mana out of your spellcasters, leaving them as dry as the Ahn’Qiraj ruins. If he fills up, prepare for a devastating Arcane Explosion that could flatten your whole raid group. Either burn him down before he hits full mana or drain him fast enough to keep him empty. And if you’re too slow, he summons Mana Fiends to make life even harder – because running out of mana isn’t stressful enough.

Before the pull, clear any nearby adds around Moam’s platform to avoid any surprise threats mid-fight. At the start, mana users should hold back briefly to avoid an early mana drain. The fight is all about managing Moam’s mana, so bring classes with mana drain abilities like Hunters, Priests, and Warlocks to slow him down. If Moam hits 100% mana, his Arcane Explosion can be deadly, so focus on draining his mana or burning him down fast. If your DPS isn’t quick enough, Moam will enter Phase 2, summoning Mana Fiends and turning to stone. Use this time to CC the Mana Fiends, drain Moam’s mana completely, and get ready for another push when he returns to normal.

World of warcraft: Season of Discovery Ayamiss the Hunter Guide

Ayamiss the Hunter, the airborne terror of AQ20, swoops in with a fondness for poisoning and paralyzing your raid group. She’ll make you stand helpless on an altar while a larva crawls over to finish the job, all while she rains down poison on anyone in her way. Just when you think you’re safe, she lands and starts all over again. It’s a fun ride – if you enjoy running for your life while a giant insect decides your fate.

Before starting, clear the adds around Ayamiss’ room to prevent any mid-fight surprises. In Phase 1, Ayamiss is airborne and only ranged DPS can hit her. Tanks with high nature resistance should be ready to take aggro, as Ayamiss’ Poison Stinger stacks quickly and does more damage over time. Melee DPS should stay near the altar, ready to take out any Hive’Zara Larva that spawn whenever a raid member is paralyzed and teleported. Phase 2 begins when Ayamiss lands at 70% health; she wipes threat when she lands, so pause DPS until the tank secures aggro. Once grounded, melee can join the fight and finish her off. Healing through Stinger Spray and managing larva spawns are key to survival.

World of warcraft: Season of Discovery Ossirian the Unscarred Guide

Ossirian the Unscarred, AQ20’s Unscarred menace, is more like a walking disaster with a soft spot for crystals. He’ll start in Supreme Mode, doing insane damage to anyone brave enough to get close. To survive, you’ll be playing hide-and-seek with crystals that neutralize his strength, but only briefly. Slip up on finding those crystals, and you’ll witness why he’s called Unscarred – because he’s the one leaving scars.

Before starting, assign a spotter to find and call out the locations of vulnerability crystals around the arena. Start with no DPS during the first crystal activation so tanks can establish threat. Ossirian’s Strength of Ossirian buff makes him hit extremely hard, but it can be removed by dragging him over an activated crystal. Each crystal grants him a random vulnerability to a spell school, doubling damage from that type, so casters should switch accordingly to maximize DPS. Be cautious of War Stomp’s knockback – melee DPS should bandage or wait for heals before reengaging. Watch out for Tornadoes; if you’re caught, you’ll be helpless for 8 seconds. Keep dispelling Curse of Tongues on spellcasters, and make sure the tanks keep building threat to keep Ossirian steady. Rinse and repeat until this unscarred brute is finally scarred.

Wow SoD AQ20 | Plot

The Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj (AQ20) is an ancient place of secrets in the far corner of Silithus. Long ago, the Qiraji—an insect race that followed the Old God C’Thun—ruled these lands and fought a terrible war against the Night Elves and dragons of Azeroth. During this War of the Shifting Sands, the elves and dragons finally stopped the Qiraji and built a wall, the Scarab Wall, to lock them away in the ruins and the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj.

In WoW SoD 6, the Scarab Wall has been broken, and adventurers from Azeroth have a new quest: to go inside AQ20 and fight the Qiraji forces, led by their brutal commander, Ossirian the Unscarred. Ossirian and his lieutenants, like Kurinnaxx and General Rajaxx, are ready to protect their empire and C’Thun’s power.

World of warcraft: Season of Discovery AQ20 | Loot table

AQ20 is packed with powerful loot to make your character stronger. Each boss has a chance to drop valuable gear like rings, cloaks, and weapons. You can also earn tokens from bosses to unlock special armor by handing in the tokens to the Cenarion Circle. As you gain more reputation with them, you can unlock even better rewards, including powerful enchants and new spell ranks. AQ20 has loot for everyone—gear, spells, and unique Qiraji items for every kind of player.
