Leveling Tricks — Play solo, or Play Group?
Cataclysm is not the classic trilogy of World of Warcrafts. And what does that mean? It becomes much simpler, much faster, and much better for newbies. You can literally, without any troubles, reach the maximum level in short terms, even if you play solo. In the trilogy, you have to play in a party. In Vanilla Classic, you MUST play with a party.
So, if leveling becomes so easy, there’s a reasonable question: play alone or play with those bastards? And here’s a mixed situation. On one hand, when you play alone, you get more experience for each killed mob. On the other hand, if you play in a duo or know some pro tricks, like DD + tank, heal + tank, or heal + DD, you can do crazy AoE farms, catch bigger packs, annihilate them faster, and as a result, level up quicker.
But that’s not all that matters. Much more important is that when you play together, you have fun, and when you’re having fun, you’re not bored. You can spend more time in the game and aim for your targets and goals faster. So, isn’t that enough reason to play together?
But of course, as part of a professional boosting team, when we do leveling routines for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic, we do the leveling solo but in the most effective way, which is described below. Playing solo allows us to estimate, control, and reach our goals in the estimated time. It’s crucial when we’re in extra-fast competition.
Pros & Cons | Solo Play | Group Play |
Pros | – Complete focus on lore and achievements. – No loot sharing. – Level at your own pace through all the zones, from Silverpine Forest to Thousand Needles. – Perfect for leveling guides and finding insights. | – Quests are completed faster, especially in zones like Stranglethorn Vale and Elwynn Forest. – Kill mobs quicker for introductory quests. – Bonus experience: 2 players (50 XP each), 3 players (39 XP each), 4 players (33 XP each), 5 players (28 XP each). – Quick access to dungeons. |
Cons | – Competing for quest mobs in crowded zones like Eastern Kingdoms. – Some quests can feel like a grind, especially in Arathi Highlands. – Slow progress if quests are too tough. – No bonus XP. | – Experience is shared (split XP). – Collecting quest items takes longer due to loot sharing. – Can’t complete quests in a raid group. – Risk of loot disputes. – May feel rushed through the journey. |
Why we’re so many time spend on how exactly we do the leveling routines for gamers? It’s simple – in cause if it passed us, it passed you too!
Going solo lets you focus on the lore and explore all the zones at your own pace, but it can be a grind fest, especially when you’re stuck in Grizzly Hills or trying to streamline questing through Stranglethorn Vale. On the flip side, grouping up means you won’t be competing for kills and can complete quests faster, but you’ll share experience, so leveling isn’t always quicker. Honestly, finding the right balance between the two is key, whether you’re navigating introductory quests in Tirisfal Glades as a Blood Elf or diving headfirst into the Cataclysm expansion zones like the Northern Barrens.
THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO REACH LEVEL FAST — SIMPLY THE BEST LEVELING TRICK EVER!
No, you didn’t hear wrong. Here’s the best leveling trick that’s worked since the late Wrath of the Lich King and perfectly fits all current expansions.
East or West – the Dungeon Finder system, introduced in late WotLK, is still the best. Especially if you’re playing a class whose second spec is tank or heal. And even better if you play in a party, like Tank + Heal. It’s designed especially for you.
So, what should you do? Took your friend who plays a class that can spec not only as DD. Spec into Tank or Heal (your friends too). Then join the queue. Push through the dungeon. Took the blue gear. Repeat. And repeat. And repeat… And then… Please, repeat once more until you’re level 85 in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic.
One of the most important things about this method is that you always have the best gear for your level. Plus, you collect enough trash and mats to sell at the AH, earning enough money for a mount, speed riding, and more. You don’t need to waste time on professions or hunt for gear in the AH because you’re always suited up with the best.
Also, by playing dungeons, you master your class, which is really important. I mean, when you start playing dungeons at level 15-18, you’ll master not only the perfect rotations (described in our leveling guides or other guides from Discord, Reddit, or elsewhere), but you’ll understand your class’s logic.
And understanding your class’s logic always gives you an advantage in PvP or unusual situations. It lets you improvise or use weird skill and talent combinations, making you like the BiS Meta ultimate gamer simply because you understand what to do, while PUGs in raids or dungeons don’t.

Deepholm – Your secret routine, to be rich, level up fast, and become the lord of the Cataclysm
Ok, this is my personal pearl, which I invented when I first started leveling my alt, specifically to create it for gold farming. When I reached level 82, I stopped doing routines in Mount Hyjal and moved to Deepholm, right to coordinates 21.6/55.2, where I found some troggs fighting with dwarves.
In the next 3-4 hours, I reached level 85 and got about 35k gold as a bonus while ignoring all those Twilight Highlands and Uldaman highlights.
But why these troggs, exactly? Well, there are obvious reasons:
- No Need to Tank: You don’t need to tank them because the dwarves are fighting them.
- Low HP: They have low HP.
- High XP Gains: At first, they’re higher level than you, so you get XP like from orange mobs, but each kill only takes about 3-5 seconds, so you can farm them quickly.
- Loot: They drop a lot of loot.
If you want to earn a lot of gold in Deepholm, check out our Gold Farming guide, where you’ll find full instructions on how to farm Stone Troggs and get an incredible amount of gold.
There’s only one big disadvantage to this method: it’s boring if you’re not in love with grinding. But with a bit of hope, insight, and focus on achieving your goals, it’s worth the path. If you’re aiming to complete achievements or simply boost your character’s progress, this grind can be a point of success.
