Dungeon Lairs are shortened dungeon encounters added to Pinnacle Ops inside the Portal, featuring key fights from existing dungeons such as Pit of Heresy, Duality, and Warlord’s Ruin. Instead of running a full dungeon from start to finish, you load directly into a curated boss or encounter with its mechanics intact and earn Pinnacle-style rewards and Tiered loot for clearing it.
To start Dungeon Lairs, you open the Portal, go to the Pinnacle Ops section, and select one of the Dungeon Lair nodes tied to a specific dungeon and encounter. As long as the Ash & Iron update is active on your account and the Lair is in rotation, you can launch it directly from the Portal, and during the initial free window all three Lairs are available to every player; afterwards you keep access to Lairs, while legacy dungeon loot requires the corresponding Dungeon Key.
You complete a Dungeon Lair by clearing its featured encounter under the current modifiers and meeting the score or Rank requirement shown on the activity card. In practice this means handling the original dungeon mechanics correctly, staying alive through Pinnacle Ops modifiers, and finishing the boss or objective within the time and fail limits so the game registers a successful completion and pays out the Tiered and Rank A rewards for that run.
Dungeon Lairs are single-encounter slices, not full dungeon runs. Each Lair focuses on one significant fight or section from a dungeon, with its own modifiers, difficulty and reward structure, which makes them faster to farm than full dungeons but still demanding enough to feel like genuine endgame content.
