Rake Angle is a Legendary Stasis Glaive in the Kinetic slot with an Aggressive Frame, earned from Nightfall: The Ordeals. It’s popular because it combines glaive shielding with Stasis utility, enabling safer close-range play and strong build synergy.
You unlock it by completing Nightfalls during the week Rake Angle is featured as the weapon drop. After the first copy is obtained (Collections unlock), you can keep farming and also use Zavala focusing options for more rolls, depending on your available resources and Nightfall focusing rules.
Not really. Glaives are niche in Crucible, and Rake Angle is generally rated weak for PvP compared to more reliable special weapons. It can work for “glaive tech” and aggressive plays, but it’s not a practical meta pick.
Yes—this is where it shines. The weapon is typically rated A-tier in PvE, mainly because glaives already excel at keeping you alive via the shield, and Rake Angle adds Stasis-driven control and strong perk synergy for harder content.
Rake Angle (Adept) drops from Grandmaster Nightfalls when Rake Angle is the weekly featured Nightfall weapon. Adept versions are endgame-only and are tied to GM completion.
