Tidebound Grotto offers the same three difficulty levels as other World of Warcraft raids, allowing you to choose the challenge and rewards that best suit your goals.

• Tidebound Grotto Normal Boost – The entry-level difficulty, ideal for learning the encounter and experiencing the new Lair. Defeating Nymrissa Wavecaller rewards item-level 292 gear, while your Great Vault can contain item-level 305 loot.
• Tidebound Grotto Heroic Boost – The most popular difficulty, providing a great balance between challenge and rewards. Boss drops are item level 305, and completing the Lair unlocks item level 318 rewards in the Great Vault.
• Tidebound Grotto Mythic Boost – The highest difficulty available, featuring the strongest rewards. Tidebound Grotto Mythic supports Flexible Raid groups, allowing 15–25 players. Completing Mythic rewards item level 318 gear from the boss and up to item level 335 equipment from the Great Vault.

Tidebound Grotto Achievements

Unlike the usual raids, Tidebound Grotto Lair does not award the Ahead of the Curve or Cutting Edge achievements. Instead, you can earn one of three achievements, depending on the selected difficulty:

• Nymrissa Wavecaller
• Heroic: Nymrissa Wavecaller
• Mythic: Nymrissa Wavecaller

Tanks

Keep Nymrissa faced away from the group and use defensive cooldowns for Water Blade and Water Flurry. When the Alluring Bubble appears, help gather and control murlocs so they can be killed before reaching the bubble. Dodge Tidepiercer’s Rush storms.

Healers

Prepare major healing cooldowns for Abyssal Rain and when Alluring Bubble bursts with Pop!. Heal players affected by Drenched and stabilize the group after Frost Barrage. Be ready for heavy raid-wide damage if Berserkers cast Pulsing Tides.

Damage Dealers

Switch to Bubblefin Shorerunners immediately and kill them before they reach Alluring Bubble, as any murloc inside becomes a dangerous Bubblefin Berserker. Dodge Frost Barrage and Tidepiercer’s Rush, then quickly eliminate any empowered Berserkers before they overwhelm the group.
