Crimson Agate collection should be handled with a planned Dragonspine route because the region is cold, vertical, and filled with hidden paths. Random searching often leaves missing red-aura chests or hard-to-reach Agates behind.
Crimson Agates are special Dragonspine collectibles used to level the Frostbearing Tree. They work differently from normal Oculus items because they can be found in the open world, inside certain red-aura chests, and later earned through Crimson Wish after unlocking that system.
Crimson Agates are located across Dragonspine, Mondstadt’s snowy mountain region. They can be found on cliffs, inside caves, near ruins, behind Scarlet Quartz puzzles, in high mountain routes, around frozen paths, and inside special chests surrounded by a dark red aura.
Current data lists 80 Crimson Agates that can be found in Dragonspine overworld locations or special chests. Additional Crimson Agates come from Crimson Wish after the Frostbearing Tree reaches Level 8. After the Frostbearing Tree reaches Level 8, Crimson Wish unlocks and provides additional Crimson Agates through recurring tasks until the tree reaches its maximum level.
Crimson Agate is offered to the Frostbearing Tree in Dragonspine. Offering Crimson Agates increases the tree’s level and unlocks rewards, making it the main progression collectible for Dragonspine.
The Frostbearing Tree is Dragonspine’s offering system. Players bring Crimson Agates to the tree to raise its level and claim rewards tied to Dragonspine exploration progress.
Crimson Wish is a Dragonspine system unlocked after the Frostbearing Tree reaches Level 8. It gives 5 Crimson Wish tasks every Monday and Friday, and each completed task rewards one Crimson Agate until the Frostbearing Tree reaches max level.
