Hands-off clearing is the whole selling point of a Ballista build, and it’s also where most self-built versions fall apart. Getting the projectile delay right, stacking enough totems to matter, and keeping the Hierophant tree from bleeding points into nodes that don’t feed the totem count takes more tuning than most guides admit. A build that looks strong on a forum post and a build that clears every Nightmare map cleanly are not always the same character.

Buy PoE Kinetic Fusillade Ballista Build Boost if totems doing the work sounds better than dodging every Nightmare mechanic yourself. The core setup needs no Unique items to function.
The core version doesn’t, since the totem count and Hierophant scaling carry most of the damage and defense on their own. Rare gear with solid Life and capped resistances gets you through Nightmare content, and the two upgrade Uniques exist to push clear speed and boss damage further, not to make the build function in the first place.
Up to eight, once the Hierophant tree and totem-count sources are fully allocated. Each one fires Kinetic Fusillade independently, so the more totems on the field, the more overlapping explosions land on whatever you’re standing near.
Yes, Voidstones unlock the chance for Tier 16 maps to roll as Nightmare Maps in the first place, and all four together push that chance to its highest point. If you haven’t placed yours yet, mention it when you order and we’ll fold that progress into the build setup.
