WoW Classic SoD Temple of Ahn’Qiraj Boost

The Temple of Ahn’Qiraj, commonly known as AQ40, is a major raid in WoW Classic Season of Discovery. Located in Silithus it offers you and your brave 39 companions to face the insect-like Qiraji forces.This journey is filled with sand, bugs, sand again, and some nature resistance checks.

AQ40 is known for its difficulty. Some encounters are herder than Molten Core and Blackwing Lair fights. So yeah, this raid isn’t a walk in the park, and even in the SoD variant, you’ll need your strategy, skill, and patience dialed in to survive.

Good news for all of us who hate attunements! Temple of Ahn’Qiraj does not require any attunement to enter! No key quests, no grinding out reputations, and no annoying fetch missions across Azeroth.

The only real barrier to entry is the server-wide event, the Ahn’Qiraj War Effort, which involves gathering tons of materials. Once the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj are opened (and after someone bangs the Scarab Gong), everyone on the server gains access to the temple. So, unless you’re in the mood to coordinate a massive war supply gathering event with your entire server, just sit tight until the community gets the gates open. Easy peasy… as long as you don’t mind a little waiting.

Now, if you’re planning to farm the Scarab Lord title, that’s a whole other story. But for everyone else, get your raid group ready, no keys required!

The beauty of AQ40? No attunement needed! However, don’t mistake this simplicity for an easy experience. Here’s what you really need to have sorted before raiding:

1. Server-wide event called the War Effort needs to be completed first. This is a massive community gathering task where players collect resources. Once the War Effort is done and someone bangs the Scarab Gong, the gates open for everyone;
2. Get some Nature Resistance Gear. You’ll need this for several bosses, especially Princess Huhuran. It’s not the actual requirement to enter, but without it, you might find yourself dead almost from the pull;
3. You’ll need a full raid group of geared and prepared players. Balancing your group with the right classes will make all the difference;

Finding the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj is pretty easy. Once you’re in Silithus head to its southernmost part. There you’ll come across the imposing Scarab Wall and the gates that separate Silithus from the Qiraji empire. The temple’s entrance is to the right of these gates, through a portal.

To get there, you’ll need to have the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj open, which is done via the server-wide War Effort. But once that’s sorted, you and 39 of your best bug-squashing buddies can enter the temple and start your fight against C’Thun’s minions.

If you’re ever lost in Silithus, just follow the swarms of other adventurers heading to the same place or the smell of old gods and bug juice in the air!

AQ40 is packed with 9 bosses, but here’s the catch—3 are optional! This gives your raid some flexibility. However, if you’re looking to maximize loot or want the full experience, you’ll probably want to take down all of them.

Be prepared for some nasty mechanics as you delve deeper, especially the infamous C’Thun Eye Beam. And yes, even after all these years, C’Thun still packs a punch.
