What’s the difference between competitive points and legacy points?

CPs are earned during competitive matches and can be used to unlock cosmetic items like weapon variants. LPs, on the other hand, are converted from unused Competitive Points at the end of the yearly competitive season. While both can be used for cosmetic purchases, Legacy Points are limited to older items, such as golden weapons, and cannot be used for current year’s weapon variants.

What’s the fastest way to get galactic weapons in the game?

To unlock Galactic weapons in OW, you’ll need 3,000 Competitive Points (CP) for each weapon. Here’s how to earn them quickly:

  1. Participate in games: you earn 10 CP for a win and 5 CP for a draw in competitive mode. Losses don’t grant points, so focus on improving your gameplay to maximize wins;
  2. Participate in Competitive Drives: these events occur at least once per season and offer significant CP rewards. For example, completing the progress bar in a recent event granted up to 6,000 CP—enough for two Galactic weapons;
  3. Stay Consistent: Regularly playing and winning competitive games is the most reliable way to accumulate CP over time.

How do I change gun skins in the game?

To change skins in OW, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Gallery: from the main menu, select the “Hero Gallery” option (left side menu);
  2. Choose Your Hero from the hero gallery: select the hero whose skin you want to customize;
  3. Navigate to Gun Skins: within the hero’s customization menu, look for the “Skins” tab. If the hero has skins available, you’ll find them here;
  4. Select Your Skin: browse through the available skins and select the one you want to equip. Some skins may have unique sound effects or visual designs.
