You will need to play and try to win to improve your rank. In the game, you can find nine ranks with three tiers for each one. These ranks are:

All 27 agents in the game divide into four classes:
You will need to understand the abilities of every agent and how to play with them.
To climb efficiently, it’s important to understand what actually affects your rank gains and losses. You gain or lose Ranked Rating (RR) after each match. RR movement is primarily determined by your hidden MMR and round differential versus the lobby’s strength. Winning consistently against strong opposition raises MMR, which increases RR gains and reduces RR losses.
Nine ranks total: Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Ascendant, Immortal, and Radiant.
Before starting your climb, it is useful to understand how the competitive ladder is structured. Valorant uses a tier-based ranking system that moves from Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Ascendant, and Immortal up to Radiant. The ranks from Iron to Ascendant are divided into three sub-tiers, while Immortal also has its own tier divisions. Radiant stands at the top as the highest rank and is based on the regional leaderboard.
There’s no universal “easiest” class, but Initiators and Controllers often have the most impact in low–mid ranks because good utility and smokes win more rounds than raw aim. The best role to climb with is the one where you can play a few Agents confidently, support your team, and make good decisions every round.
