The Perturb talent makes the Agitator one of the most mechanically distinct ARs in the current Division 2 pool. The 10-second holster window is short enough to integrate into normal combat rotations without disrupting flow, and the 20-second primed window delivers meaningful burst output that compounds with weapon damage bonuses already active on your build. The Threat amplification is the standout — 100% increased Threat on a primed Agitator holds aggro on grouped enemies in a way no other weapon currently replicates.

Buy Division 2 Agitator Boost and get the exotic AR that pulls aggro and pushes damage simultaneously — without farming seasonal sources until the drop cooperates.
Perturb activates on a holster timer — the Agitator needs to be in your secondary slot for 10 seconds before it becomes primed. Once primed, unholstering it triggers the 20-second buff window: +25% Rate of Fire, +30% Weapon Damage, and 100% increased Threat generation applied simultaneously for the full duration. After 20 seconds the buff expires and the 10-second holster cycle starts again. In practice, rotating between your primary weapon and the Agitator on a deliberate cycle keeps the primed window active in every major engagement without requiring precise timing — the rotation becomes automatic once you’ve run it a few times.
The Agitator’s Threat amplification makes it particularly valuable in group content where aggro management affects how efficiently the team performs. Tank builds use it to pull and hold enemy attention while teammates operate freely. DPS builds that don’t need to manage Threat still benefit from the +25% Rate of Fire and +30% Weapon Damage burst window in solo endgame content and raids. The Threat mechanic has less value in solo play and Conflict PvP where aggro management isn’t a factor, but the raw DPS numbers during the primed window remain strong regardless.
The Agitator was introduced as a seasonal exotic in the current Division 2 season. Its long-term availability in future seasons depends on whether it rotates into the permanent loot pool after the active cycle ends — some seasonal exotics become permanently farmable, others remain time-limited. Obtaining it during the active season is the guaranteed acquisition path. Our booster farms it through current-season sources and delivers it before the window narrows.
