Yep, it’s finally here, and oh boy, the Scarlet Crusade is back at it again with their righteous fury, shiny plate armor, and absolute zero chill for anything remotely undead or you, if you happen to sneeze the wrong way near their camp. This zone has officially made its way into Season of Discovery. Blizzard decided to spice things up, reimagining it to fit the SoD vibe, and they didn’t hold back. This zone feels fresh, even if you’ve been here before.
When you first step into the Scarlet Enclave, the atmosphere hits you hard. Flickering torchlights, and rows upon rows of Scarlet soldiers all sharpening their swords to cleanse undeads. Spoiler: You’re the one they’re planning to cleanse. But keep in mind that this isn’t just a sightseeing tour of Scarlet NPCs doing cardio training. The Scarlet Enclave is packed with new mechanics. Blizzard went hard on it.
Gear in this zone slaps. Scarlet Crusade has always had some of the most iconic armor designs in WoW, and this time, they leaned into it hard. Imagine swords that look like they could have their own metal album cover, shields so shiny they double as solar flares, and robes that scream, “I’m here to call you a heretic, and I look fabulous doing it.” What makes the Scarlet Enclave so special isn’t just the content it’s the vibe. And honestly? We’re here for it.
Is Scarlet Enclave worth the hype? Yeah. It’s not just a pretty zone with a few mobs. It’s got weight. And it’s got enough Scarlet Crusade propaganda to make you start questioning if maybe you’re the bad guy after all. So grab your sword, polish your shield, and try not to trip over the piles of freshly purified heretics.
The Scarlet Enclave in WoW Classic Season of Discovery is the zone that somehow manages to combine righteous zealotry and a suspicious amount of red fabric dye. And here’s the good news, friend! No, you don’t need attunement to get in.
Blizzard, in a rare moment of mercy, decided to keep the gates wide open for anyone brave or dumb enough to enter the Scarlet Enclave. But hold on… just because you can walk in doesn’t mean you should. While there’s no attunement, you’ll still want to show up prepared. First, your gear. If you’re wearing greens and a vendor shield, you’re gonna have a bad time. The mobs here hit hard. Second, bring friends. The Scarlet Enclave is a zone built for discovery (pun absolutely not intended… okay, maybe a little).
If you want to enter the Scarlet Enclave in WoW Classic Season of Discovery, you’ll need Level 60 and AQ-level gear. Blizzard didn’t slap an ilvl requirement on the door, but if your best chest piece drops from Blackrock Depths, you might want to think once again. Why? Because the mobs and bosses in the Scarlet Enclave hit like train. If you show up in Dungeon Set 1 or some random greens you bought off the Auction House, the Scarlet zealots are going to yeet you back to the Spirit Healer faster than you can realize that.
Even if you’re Level 60 equipped with BiS gear, walking into the Scarlet Enclave solo is a bad idea. You’ll want a proper group setup: tanks, some DPS and healers. Basically, prepare like you’re raiding AQ40. If your bags aren’t bursting with consumables and your wallet isn’t crying at the Auction House, you’re probably underprepared. The rewards reflect the challenge, though.
The entrance to the Scarlet Enclave can be found in the Eastern Plaguelands, specifically around the area near Tyr’s Hand. If you’ve played Wrath of the Lich King back in the day, you’ll probably remember this spot as the Death Knight starting zone.
When you’re traveling through the Eastern Plaguelands, look for a heavily fortified Scarlet gate near Tyr’s Hand, positioned at the far southeastern part of the map. It’s got giant Scarlet Crusade banners draped everywhere and guards patrolling. Okay, so you know it’s near Tyr’s Hand. Great. But this is Classic WoW, and nothing is ever simple. Here are some survival tips:
Once you cross that threshold, congratulations, you’ve made it into one of the most lore-heavy zones in Season of Discovery. Inside, you’ll find tones of loot! Scarlet Crusade gear has always had a flair for fashion, and the Scarlet Enclave doesn’t disappoint.
Finding the entrance to the Scarlet Enclave is just the first step. The Scarlet Enclave awaits, and trust me, those Scarlet fanatics have been waiting for you, too. Remember: If an NPC starts yelling a monologue at you, that’s your cue to interrupt.
The Scarlet Enclave in WoW Classic: Season of Discovery is the hot new zone everyone’s foaming at the mouth about, but Blizzard hasn’t dropped the full deets yet. So, if you were hoping for a neatly wrapped boss count with health pools and loot tables, you’re out of luck, champ. But don’t you worry, this section will be fixed as soon as some information appears.
And before you ask: yes, boosting will 100% be a thing. We will carry your undergeared butt through the bosses while you alt-tab to scroll memes.
We predict Scarlet Enclave to have Four-ish bosses (give or take), great pre-naxx loot and mechanics to allow casuals get some gear.
