The Destiny 2 Returner's Gift is a set of reward packages handed to players flagged as returners under the system introduced with the Renegades expansion. You earn them by completing Orders, with up to 30 unique packages available and a limit of 10 per week. Claiming is done through the Returner's Gift progress bar and overview in game, though some players report the final reward refusing to redeem.
What the Returner's Gift actually is
The returner system flags anyone who did not log in or earn 30 ranks during the previous season as a Returner. It has three parts: Returner's Boon, which boosts all experience gains for six months; Returner's Gift, the reward packages unlocked by completing Orders; and Returner's Blessing, bonuses for anyone playing alongside a returner.
What's inside the packages
| Reward | Detail |
| Total packages | 30 unique gifts |
| Weekly limit | Up to 10 per week |
| Highlight items | Enhancement materials, Tier 3 and 4 gear, Exotic Engrams |
| Currency | 1,000 Bright Dust |
| Cosmetics | Iridescent Engram with a past Eververse item, Tower Pamphlet emblem |
The Tower Pamphlet emblem is awarded to returning players as part of the Returner's Gift/Orders system in Renegades, and has been redeemed by 1,409,283 owners.
How to claim your rewards
Open the Returner's Gift progress bar in game to reach the Returner's Gift overview, where ready rewards show a "!" marker. If a reward will not redeem, make space in your inventories for Glimmer, Enhancement Cores, Engrams (exotic, bright and others), Emblems, and weapons, armor and other gear items, then fully close the game and clear your console's cache before trying again. Players have also tried signing out, quitting and reopening the game, and a hard reset to clear the cache, with the postmaster and special delivery kiosk checked as well.
What staying players get
Joining a fireteam with a returner grants the Returner's Blessing, which gives extra experience during activities, a chance at Bonus Portal Engrams when completing activities, a chance to earn an exclusive emblem, and automatic completion of some Common Orders.
Getting the most from the system
Complete Orders every week rather than in one long session, since the limit is 10 gifts per week. Team up with veteran friends so their Blessing and your Boon speed up progression for the whole group. Spend the XP boost on longer activities, and hold onto Exotic Engrams until you understand the current sandbox so you do not waste resources on items that do not fit your build.
The free restored content
The bigger gift tied to the comeback is the restoration of removed campaigns, destinations and old raids from the Destiny Content Vault, available to every player at no extra cost, including new players. A Destiny 2 Gift Of Cruelty Boost can cover that weapon's acquisition if you would rather not run it yourself.

The Gloriabundus emblem was handed out free in July to mark the end of support, with the code F6K-D44-JH4 redeemable on Bungie's website.
