Every Legacy Runeword starts in the Horadric Cube with a plain white base and two to five runes, and the Cube lists the recipes only as “???”. Lower runes merge three-for-one up the ladder, while the high end merges two-for-one with a gem added. Our Diablo 4 Legacy Runes Boosting handles all of it, and the table below shows what each Runeword gives you.

No. The socketed kind pairs one Ritual rune that builds Offering with one Invocation rune that spends it, both set in the same piece of gear. A Legacy Runeword is a standalone Unique item, and the twelve runes on offer feed both systems.
A Runeword takes its Item Power from the base item it is crafted on, and ours are built on Ancestral bases. That makes each finished Runeword an Ancestral Unique.
Finished Runewords arrive ready to equip, and loose runes need no Cube to be socketed. The Cube matters only for crafting your own Runewords, and it unlocks during the Lord of Hatred campaign.
