Prototype gear changes the optimization math of every build it slots into. The raised stat ceilings mean secondary attributes hit values that push build performance beyond what High-End rolls can reach regardless of recalibration, and the Augments add passive bonuses that compound with existing gear set mechanics without requiring specific talent combinations to activate.

Buy Division 2 Prototype Gear Boost and push your build past the High-End ceiling into the stat range the current endgame actually rewards.
Prototype sits above High-End as a distinct quality tier with two key advantages. First, stat ceilings on secondary attributes are raised up to 1.5x compared to equivalent High-End pieces — meaning a Prototype piece with Crit Hit Chance can roll significantly higher than the maximum achievable on a High-End equivalent. Second, Prototype pieces carry Augments: passive bonuses that don’t exist on any High-End gear and that compound with gear set mechanics and exotic pairings in ways standard gear can’t replicate. Both advantages apply simultaneously on every Prototype piece.
Prototype gear drops specifically from Escalation mode — the dedicated endgame activity introduced alongside the Prototype gear tier. Standard missions, raids, Countdown, and open-world activities don’t drop Prototype quality items. Escalation mode access is a requirement for the service, and our booster runs Escalation loops specifically rather than general endgame activity.
Prototype items drop with randomized attributes within the raised stat ceiling range. You can specify preferred gear slots and stat priorities when scheduling with your manager, and your booster will prioritize pieces that match your build requirements. For specific high-value configurations, the farming session may extend until a viable piece lands — communicate your build goals at scheduling and your manager will set expectations accordingly.
