World’s Edge Season 30 changes at a glance:

  • East Village replaces Climatizer
  • Tree Settlement replaces The Tree
  • War Camp replaces Survey Camp
  • Sorting Factory and Construction Stacks return
  • Big Maude merges with Landslide
  • World’s Edge joins Storm Point and E-District in the Battle Royale rotation

Why Respawn Reworked World’s Edge in Season 30

Respawn’s stated goal wasn’t a full map rebuild. It was narrower: reduce the quality gap between stronger and weaker landing spots, deliver several frequently requested changes, and use the new locations to advance Bloodhound’s story. The result leans into “old-god aesthetics” — darker visuals, an aurora in the night sky, and new architecture tied to Bloodhound’s tribe.

  • East Village replaces Climatizer. Bloodhound’s tribe lays claim to the area, bringing distinctive architecture and a massive Longhouse. On the ground, the POI adds rock and tree cover in open areas, smoother terrain at the base of the Dam — previously one of the more punishing rotation points on the map — and new ziplines connecting up to the Dam.
  • Tree Settlement replaces The Tree and brings new vertical movement gameplay to World’s Edge. Loot density and expected contest rate aren’t detailed in Respawn’s materials, so treat those as open questions.
  • War Camp replaces Survey Camp with several buildings circling a central structure that’s raised above the ground, with a landing zone between the highest and lowest points — a tighter, more concentrated fighting space than Survey Camp’s spread-out design.

Returning World’s Edge POIs: Sorting Factory and Construction Stacks

  • Sorting Factory is back with new train cars, platforms, and ziplines around each train-tunnel exit. Its tunnel and platform work was built specifically to preserve existing rotations — the central train-tunnel connection keeps the Lava Siphon rotation intact, and adjusted platforms keep Lava Siphon’s bridge route toward Fragment East — while a new tunnel and vertical zipline add a southwest entrance near Tree Settlement. That makes it an important rotation hub linking Lava Siphon, Fragment East, and Tree Settlement.
  • Construction Stacks, the familiar construction building, returns to Fragment West to spread combat through that area.
  • Big Maude has been merged with Landslide, creating a larger, more viable landing area at that POI.
  • Around Stacks and Lava City, Respawn has also restored the original camp that existed before Big Maude moved in, adding extra cover, platforms, and buildings intended to improve rotations and endgame positioning.

Other World’s Edge Map Changes and Fixes

Apex Legends Marked World’s Edge Changes: Construction Stacks Re-Emerge And New Pois Arrive

Countdown’s underground vault has improved loot quality, and Harvester’s angled rooftop collision has been adjusted to stop players from unexpectedly slipping off. Respawn also cleaned up a large number of bugs and navigation issues, including unintended rat spots across popular POIs and multiple exploit locations involving Alter and Loba.

World’s Edge Loot Changes in Season 30

Season 30’s wider loot overhaul reaches into several World’s Edge-specific systems:

  • Loot Vaults now include Blue attachments and are weighted toward more attachments and Amps, with fewer backpacks
  • Mirage à Trois can no longer produce Gold loot rollers, and starting the party gives a lower chance of a Purple roller
  • Trials now award a lower overall tier of loot
  • Purple attachment spawn rates are reduced across all game systems — the overall number of attachments stays the same, so expect more lower-tier attachments rather than fewer attachments overall
  • Gold Attachments — with the exception of the 4–10x Digital Sniper Threat Sight, which is unaffected — Gold Backpacks, the Hot Zone, Extended Supply Bins, and Weapon Supply Bins have all been removed
  • Bin Reset still happens, but Gold and Mythic Bins are gone and reset loot no longer upgrades to a higher tier
  • Arsenals are disabled at match start and activate alongside Evo Harvesters. Their minimap and in-world icons remain hidden until activation, and fewer Arsenals appear per POI. Opening fights therefore depend on normal map loot rather than an early Arsenal run

Practically, this pushes more weight onto ordinary floor loot and bins during opening fights. Vault routes still offer useful attachments — including a shot at Corrupted Attachments — but expect fewer immediate high-tier upgrades than in past seasons.

World’s Edge Map Rotation and Spotlight Schedule

World’s Edge, Storm Point, and E-District make up the standard Season 30 Battle Royale rotation. During the opening week, World’s Edge has two scheduled spotlight periods:

  • August 4: World’s Edge ran for 24 hours in both Ranked and public matches, then each returned to its normal rotation.
  • August 8–9: World’s Edge returns for a 48-hour Ranked-only window. Public matches stay on their standard rotation throughout.

Outside those spotlight windows, Ranked maps rotate every 4.5 hours and public-match maps rotate every 90 minutes.

Best World’s Edge Landing Spots in Season 30

These recommendations combine confirmed map geometry with an early-season tactical read. Actual contest rates will vary with the dropship path and may shift as the meta settles.

  • War Camp — for early contests: The compact layout around a raised central structure should encourage concentrated engagements close to the drop. As a new POI, it’s also likely to draw significant attention during the opening weeks, so go in expecting an immediate fight rather than a clean loot route.
  • Tree Settlement — for vertical combat: Its confirmed vertical movement gameplay should suit mobile squads comfortable taking or contesting elevation. Loot distribution and contest rate aren’t officially detailed — being one of only three brand-new POIs, it could see heavy early traffic.
  • Sorting Factory — for flexible rotations: Rebuilt tunnels, platforms, train cars, and ziplines give it exits toward Lava Siphon, Fragment East, and Tree Settlement, making it one of the more flexible starting points for squads prioritizing rotation options over a guaranteed fight.
  • East Village — for Dam access and cover: Additional rock and tree cover, plus smoother terrain at the Dam’s base, make traversal through the area less punishing than before. The new ziplines also give squads more ways to leave the lower terrain quickly.

Knowing the best landing spot is only the start. With Apex Legends Coaching Boost, you can improve your drops, early-fight decisions, rotations, and positioning through direct guidance from an experienced coach.

Best World’s Edge Rotation Routes

Apex Legends Season 30 World’s Edge Map Rework: New Pois, Sorting Factory &Amp; Best Landing Spots 10
  • Sorting Factory ↔ Lava Siphon / Fragment East: The central train-tunnel connection and adjusted platforms preserve these established rotations while improving traversal around the tunnel exits.
  • Sorting Factory → Tree Settlement: A new southwest tunnel and vertical zipline add an entrance between the two POIs — a useful option if the ring pulls that direction.
  • East Village → Dam: New ziplines give squads more ways off the lower terrain, reducing the risk of getting stuck beneath teams holding the high ground.
  • Stacks/Lava City: With the restored original camp and added cover and platforms, this is now a more viable mid-rotation stop rather than a pure pass-through.

Even strong rotations can fall apart in the final rings. An Apex Legends Wins Boost helps you secure more match victories, valuable rewards, and high-KD results across public matches.
