Yes. Destiny 2 supports crossplay, so you can form fireteams and fight with players on all supported platforms. Cross Save is a separate system: it lets you pick one active account and character set that appears on every platform you link. Crossplay and Cross Save are not the same thing — one lets you play with others, the other moves your Guardians.

If you want a specific result in Destiny 2 without grinding the run yourself, Epiccarry's services cover that work for you.

Which platforms support crossplay

Cross Save connects every platform Destiny 2 runs on: PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, the Microsoft Store and the Epic Games Store.

  • PlayStation and Xbox: you can opt out of crossplay from the in-game settings menu on PlayStation, or through your Xbox console's privacy and online safety settings.
  • Xbox and Microsoft Store on PC: with crossplay disabled, in-game invites between these two no longer work.
  • PC and console: in competitive modes, a console player who joins a fireteam containing PC players is matchmade into the PC pool for that activity.

Crossplay matchmaking pools

Competitive modes such as Gambit and Crucible are split into two matchmaking pools, one for console players (PlayStation and Xbox) and one for PC players (Steam and Microsoft Store). Trials of Osiris requires crossplay to be enabled to take part.

Non-competitive activities, such as Strikes and social spaces, matchmake across all available platforms with no separate pools.

How Cross Save works

A setup wizard on your Bungie account lets you choose which characters you want to use across all linked platforms. That character set becomes your active Cross Save, and it appears on any platform you have connected — Xbox, PlayStation, Microsoft Store, Steam or the Epic Games Store.

Your other characters on those platforms become dormant: you don't lose them, but you can't access them while Cross Save is active. Cross Save does not move characters permanently to another platform, and it does not merge characters from multiple accounts. It is free.

What does not transfer

DLC licenses, such as Beyond Light or Shadowkeep, do not transfer between platform accounts with Cross Save, and you need to buy that DLC on each platform you want to access it from. Items or abilities tied to DLC ownership, such as pre-order items or Stasis subclasses, may become unavailable on a platform where you don't own that DLC.

Season Passes are bound to the first Destiny 2 account you log into after purchase, even if no characters exist on it yet, and they cannot be refunded or transferred to another account. Silver must be spent on the platform it was purchased on, and it is not merged by Cross Save — only the Silver on your active character set is available.

Disabling Cross Save and the 90-day lockout

Once you disable Cross Save, you get access to your original characters on each platform again, but there is a 90-day wait before you can re-enable it. The deactivation period is unskippable for all accounts that were part of the setup, and there are no exceptions.

If you bought Silver, you cannot disable Cross Save until 90 days after the purchase, and refunding Silver blocks you from activating Cross Save until it is re-purchased for that account. Players under a ban or restriction cannot activate Cross Save, or disable it if already active, until the ban or restriction expires. Banned accounts are ineligible to participate in Cross Save or alter an active setup.

Changing your linked accounts

If you linked the wrong platform account, you have to disable Cross Save, update your linked accounts, and wait 90 days before enabling it again. All linked platform accounts must be authenticated before you can enable or disable Cross Save.

Bungie cannot remove connected platform accounts from profiles, so you must be able to log into every linked account to prove ownership before changing your Cross Save status.
