How to Farm Destiny 2 Distortions

Efficient Distortion farming requires more than staying on one planet and killing random enemies. The activity rewards players who follow the current rotation, combine Public Events with Strange Matter progress, and use weapon attunement before starting longer farming sessions.

  • Check the active destination. Open the Director and find the location currently marked by the Distortion. Since the activity moves every hour, starting on the wrong destination wastes farming time.
  • Set your weapon attunement. Choose the available Distortions weapon you want to target before farming. Attunement significantly increases that weapon’s drop chance from eligible activity rewards.
  • Complete Public Events. Public Events are among the best destination reward sources. During a Distortion, their reward tiers receive an additional increase.
  • Watch for strange signals and special encounters. Distorted destinations can reveal additional encounters and hidden reward opportunities while the modifier is active.
