The Epicurean is a Legendary Void Precision Frame Fusion Rifle (780 charge time) originally introduced in the Menagerie during Season of Opulence and later reprised in the Duality dungeon in Season of the Haunted. It’s designed primarily as a PvP fusion, with strong range and consistency and access to enhanced perks via crafting.
You unlock The Epicurean by farming the first encounter of the Duality dungeon, where it can drop as post-encounter loot. After your first drop, it can also appear from the dungeon’s secret chests and the end-of-run engram.
Yes, The Epicurean is mainly a PvP weapon. With a roll that stacks range and accuracy (for example Snapshot or Surplus paired with Rangefinder), it becomes a very consistent lane-control fusion that can secure rapid kills at impressive distances.
In PvE, The Epicurean is usable but outclassed by other Void fusions that have stronger perk combos and better damage options. A Feeding Frenzy + Swashbuckler roll can still work for add clear and Void builds, but it’s not a top meta choice compared to more specialised PvE fusion rifles.
Its main source is the first encounter in Duality. After you’ve obtained it at least once, it’s also in the loot pool for the dungeon’s secret chests and final completion engram, so continuous clears give multiple chances per run.
