Genshin Impact 7.2, titled "Hour of Ruin," officially launches on November 4, 2026. The update brings playable characters Mitya and Valeriy alongside reruns for Furina, Zibai, and Linnea, as well as a Natlan Chronicled Wish banner. Players can earn free character invitations, Primogems, and regional rewards as the Archons converge in Snezhnaya.

Genshin 7.2 Release Date

Developer miHoYo announced that Version 7.2 will launch on November 4, 2026. The update expands the map into eastern Snezhnaya, featuring the underground city of Novokitezhgrad and Wingspan Peak.

Version 7.2 Banners

The update divides its character and weapon banners across two phases, alongside a dedicated regional wish banner.

Phase 1 Banners

• Mitya: Debuting 5-star Electro Catalyst user who converts Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct reactions.
• Furina: Running concurrently as a featured 5-star rerun alongside Mitya.
• Valeriy: New 4-star Electro Sword unit featured on the Phase 1 character banners.

Phase 2 Banners

• Zibai: Featured 5-star character rerun during the second half of the patch.
• Linnea: Featured 5-star character rerun running alongside Zibai.

Natlan Chronicled Wish

A new Chronicled Wish highlights five Natlan characters and five weapons. The featured character roster includes Varesa, Chasca, Xilonen, Mualani, and Kinich. The weapon pool features Vivid Notions, Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage, Peak Patrol Song, Surf's Up, and Fang of the Mountain King.

The banner lineup is so packed with wanted characters that it will drain players' primogems and make choosing who to pull for painful, a feeling many players share. "Mitya comes everything becomes paradise. wish everyone luck with their pulls." expressed one player.

Version 7.2 Rewards and Pull Count

The update features a selector allowing players to invite one free 4-star character to their team. The choice is between Amber, Xiangling, Thoma, Collei, Lynette, Kachina, Aino, and Alyosha. Completing the main Archon Quest within the limited-time period grants 560 Primogems and Mitya's Character Ascension Materials, while Secret Tsarist Assignments award a Snezhnaya-themed Wind Glider.

Total pull estimates vary based on your spending level across the update:

Permanent exploration and quests account for 3,607 Primogems and two Intertwined Fates, while limited-time events, daily commissions, maintenance, and endgame resets contribute another 9,090 Primogems.

Events and Story Content

The central Archon Quest unites all seven nations in Snezhnaya to halt the Holy Soil phenomenon unleashed by Ronova. Completing the main defense event grants Primogems, character materials, and the free 4-star selector. Additional activities include a filming event in Snezhnaya, a Natlan mining challenge, and the Leyline Overflow. Miliastra Wonderland also gains a masquerade lobby, new stage editing assets, and a free 4-star cosmetic set.

The update brings all seven Archons together in one story for the first time in six years, which feels like the endgame to many players. Raiden Shogun finally gets the spotlight and screen time she deserves, say fans of the character who consider her role the highlight of the patch.
