The AION 2 server transfer schedule has closed: the period ended with the maintenance that began on 27 October at 23:30 PDT, 06:30 UTC on 28 October, and the Server Transfer tab has been removed from the in-game shop. A transfer you confirmed before the close cannot be undone or repeated — the characters you picked moved together to one destination, and any alts you left behind stayed on the origin server without their pets, skins and related items.

October 27, 2026

  • The AION 2 server transfer schedule is live again: transfers resumed on October 27, 2026, starting with Europe at 03:00 PDT / 12:00 CET, after which NA East, NA West and South America continue in their next open transfer period as normal.

Current transfer status

Transfers were put on hold while an issue was investigated, then resumed on 27 October with Europe first at 03:00 PDT / 12:00 CET, followed by NA East, NA West and South America in their next open period. The level requirement was raised to 45 at that point.

The whole period then ended with the 28 October maintenance, which started at 23:30 PDT on 27 October, 06:30 UTC, was planned at 4 hours 30 minutes and has since been marked complete. Transfers are not available now, and the Server Transfer tab is no longer in the shop.

The two transfer weeks

Transfers ran in two rounds, and which one applied to you depended on where your characters lived.

RoundServersWindow
FirstEarly Access serversAfter the 14 October maintenance (CEST) until before the 21 October maintenance
SecondLaunch serversAfter the 21 October maintenance until before the 28 October maintenance (CET)

In Pacific dates those ran from the 13 October maintenance to before the 20 October one, then from 20 October to before 27 October. During the first week only Early Access servers could move characters, to another Early Access server in the same region. In the second week, launch-server characters could move between launch servers or onto an Early Access server that was not full.

Daily transfer windows by region

Transfers did not run around the clock: each region had two windows a day for the length of its round, and an application outside them was refused.

RegionWindows (PDT)Windows (CEST/CET)
NA East09:00–13:00, 15:00–19:0018:00–22:00, 00:00–04:00 next day

Asia20:00–00:00, 02:00–06:0005:00–09:00, 11:00–15:00

The first window after a Wednesday maintenance could start later in Europe and Asia, and on 21 and 28 October the Asia morning window ran 05:00–08:00 CEST. Each server's transfer slots were refreshed on the hour, so a full route could reopen within the window.

A transfer was blocked when your own server had reached its transfer-out cap or the destination had reached its transfer-in cap, and the request window showed a notification instead. Those caps applied even if you already had a character on the destination.

What happens to a transfer you already started

A confirmed transfer is one-time: once you pressed confirm you could not go back or buy a second transfer. Every character you selected moved to the same destination, and you could not split them across two servers or send your main first and your alts later.

Characters left behind stayed on the origin server, but their pets, skins and related items were removed and could no longer be used there.

Your name did not survive the move. Every transferred character arrived as "@TemporaryName" and you set a new one on first login; you got your old name back only if it was still free on the destination. The move itself took about a minute, longer under heavy load, and the game kicked you to the title screen and locked the account until it finished, with a PURPLE push notification when it was done.

Genus Insight was the one progress choice you made yourself: you picked whether the destination used your origin or destination progress, and the origin's Insight reset either way. Owning the same Special Pet on the destination left you the pet there plus a Pet Reward Ticket, and duplicate non-customizable Skins gave a Skin (Single) Reward Ticket usable on the 300 Quna Shop item; both tickets ran until the 24 November (PST) / 25 November (CET) maintenance.

Requirements before you transfer

  • Level: the minimum was 10 when transfers opened and was raised to 45 when they resumed on 27 October.
  • Location: your character had to stand in a village or town, not in a dungeon, the Abyss or an enemy faction map.
  • Legion: you had to leave your legion and clear any pending legion application.
  • Duties: every active duty had to be finished first.
  • Market: no listings, no pending sales and nothing waiting to be collected.
  • Shop storage: emptied out, including unclaimed Kina and founder's pack items.
  • Mail: every message read or claimed.
  • Server storage: items and Kina moved into the character inventory or character storage, because server storage does not travel.

Character slots and extra characters

Expanded character slots stayed on the server you bought them for, and after the move you used the destination server's slot count. If you were moving more characters than the destination had free, you could pay an extra fee at application to expand slots, up to the highest slot count reachable through expansion.

The transfer itself cost 0 Quna, once per account, with every character you moved free. Moving six characters to the destination server, which had four free slots, required 2,000 Quna, since each extra slot there cost 1,000 Quna. You could transfer to a server where you already had characters as long as it had enough slots.

What transfers with you

  • Kina and items: everything in the character inventory, cube and character storage came along.
  • Currency: all Quna and Mileage transferred in full and were added to what you already held on the destination.
  • Social lists: Friends and Blocked lists were kept, with your new name shown to friends.
  • Membership and Daeva Pass: both transferred, and Membership merged with any on the destination before being removed from the origin.
  • Pets and Genus Crystals: combined with the destination's and removed from the origin.
  • Skins: owned skins were added to the destination's and removed from the origin; Style Shop registrations stayed downloadable, applicable and sellable, but kept the creator name and server from when the style was made.
  • Collections: Wings, Pantheon data, Arcana, and the Monolith with its Empyrean Traces all moved.
  • Progress: Season Rank Points for Transcendence, Nightmare, Ascension Trial, Abyss and Arena, completed Season Missions with their claim history, and ongoing Supply Requests moved and were removed from the origin.
  • Content counters: remaining Cube Reward claims, guaranteed-reward attempt counts, Abyss time, Spacetime Rift time and Abyss Corridor usage transferred.
  • Server-wide progress: reward progress from Daily Dungeons and the Shugo Festival, plus Dimensional Invasion, was moved to the destination, while the origin kept its own.

What stays behind

Server storage contents and any Kina held there never transfer.

Purchased character slot expansions stay on the origin server. Your old name stays only if nobody on the destination took it. The Abyss Corridor stays unusable on the destination unless your faction has captured it there.

Purchase limits and shop stock

Character-based purchase counts carried over with the character. For server-based limits, the higher of your two counts applied — 2/5 on the origin and 4/5 on the destination left you at 4/5, so moving did not hand you extra purchases.

During the transfer period, Soul Crystals and Instant Clear Tickets (Server) were not sold by Wind Breeze Merchants – Special and came through Substance Morph instead, and Odyle Energy switched from a server-wide to a character-based purchase limit. With the period over, the 28 October patch moved those Wind Breeze Merchant items into Substance Morph and reworked the Odyle Energy offers, and the Server Transfer entry was removed from the shop.

Region, faction and destination rules

Transfers stayed inside your region: Europe could not send to North America and the other way round, and NA East and NA West counted as separate regions. You could not switch faction either.

I feel like I made a terrible mistake pre ordering the game and investing so heavily on an early access server.

How to start the transfer

  • Open the in-game shop and the server transfer window.
  • Select the characters you wanted to move; every selected character travelled to the same destination.
  • Confirm once every requirement was met — there was no second attempt.
  • Log in on the destination and set your new character name.

The shop tab this started from has been removed with the 28 October patch, so the steps apply to a transfer made while the period was open.

Does my Kina transfer over?

Kina in your character inventory and character storage moved with you; any Kina left in server storage stayed behind.
