Yellow Keycards have extremely low spawn weights. Even if you know all spawn locations, competition and RNG make solo farming slow, expensive, and unpredictable. With a boost, you get guaranteed delivery without losing gear or time.
A Yellow Keycard is one of Tarkov’s most valuable utility items. Here’s what it opens for you and why players rush to obtain it:
Having a Yellow Keycard transforms your Labs experience from “random loot gamble” into “controlled high-value farming.”
Tagilla, Shturman, Killa, Glukhar, and Kaban are your targets of interest if you’re looking for a Yellow Keycard during the raids. The drop rate is pretty much in single digits, though, so don’t get discouraged if securing 5 or 10 victories won’t be enough.
So basically in the progress of your raid run you can accidentally trigger some events of high importance. Each event is followed by one very loud and scary announcement that basically broadcasts your position to the entirety of the Labs, which means Raiders and rival PMCs rushing to your location to intercept you. One such event is extraction through the Parking Garage – one of the most advantageous exfil points in the Labs. The Yellow Keycard, therefore, is your ticket to a much calmer and rapid escape from the Labs back to your cozy hideout.
Honestly? A very nice collection of junk, except for one weapon safe and a possible Red Keycard lying on the table waiting for collection. It’s not the loot that Yellow Keycard unlocks, but a possibility to safely exfil from the area without triggering the alarm.
