Both It That Was Tul and It That Was Esh sit among the tougher Breach encounters PoE 2 offers, and neither hands over Nightfall as a reliable reward even after a successful kill. That double-source setup does mean this shield isn’t locked behind a single boss the way most drop-restricted uniques are, giving a farmer with both encounters on rotation more chances at it than chasing one alone would offer. Cold Resistance sitting at a near-capped range on a single item is rare enough on its own, and pairing it with two separate conversion lines means Fire and Lightning damage both funnel into the one colour this shield already covers heavily.

Buy PoE 2 Nightfall Boost if the Armour and Cold coverage on this shield have been the missing piece behind a build that keeps folding to elemental spikes. Confirm your character and league when you order, and this exact shield reaches your account well before either Breach fight would open.
It does, since that line pushes the shield’s own attribute threshold higher than a standard Tower Shield of the same base would demand. The 249 Strength requirement already listed accounts for that increase, and any character meeting that number can equip the shield exactly as shown.
It goes like this: “Hurl your Shield as a Projectile which Returns to you at the end of its flight. While the Shield is in flight, this skill is replaced with Embrace the Fall. This skill’s cooldown is skipped if you catch the Shield as it Returns, or destroy an Ice Crystal with the Embrace the Fall.”
Both carry a reputation as seriously tough Breach encounters, and neither is widely considered the clearly easier pick. Our boosters farm whichever encounter is currently more accessible on your league and account setup, without committing to one over the other by default.
