Hidden Mountain main quest and unlock
Hidden Mountain requires Character Level 32 plus completion of Kaifeng Chapter 1: New Arrival in Kaifeng to access. Fully opening the region also requires Hidden Mountain Main Chapter 2: Haven Astray. Yingying’s Invitation in Kaifeng is the first step of the unlock sequence, which then takes players into the Changeless Heart campaign.
- Meet the entry requirements. Reach Character Level 32 and complete Kaifeng Chapter 1: New Arrival in Kaifeng.
- Start Yingying’s Invitation. The Where Winds Meet Hidden Mountain guide route begins at the inn on South Gate Avenue in Kaifeng. Listen to the storyteller describe the Haven, speak with Yingying, then follow the mechanical bird to the Golden Escort Agency. Inside, follow the bird through the underground passages, inspect the marked chairs and activate the levers to open new routes; the final passage reunites you with Master Jin.
- Solve the Lu Ban Lock. Move the central piece completely to the left, then shift the vertical piece to release the lock.
- Cross the Misty River. The crossing is designed to fail several times. Speak with the marked NPCs, gather the requested supplies and complete the Gift of Gab interaction when prompted. On later attempts, use Wind Sense to reveal the hidden whirlpools and follow their route through the fog.

- Complete Heron’s entry trial. After landing, follow Feng inland and speak with the nearby Wayfarer to unlock the local map. Help Feng build the flying contraption, then start Heron’s trial. Lightness Skills are disabled here; use Celestial Seize to reposition the hanging chains and place wooden planks across them to bridge the platforms. Repeat the process, clear the final enemy and continue up the mountain to unlock the main explorable area.
Progression note: The character level cap remains 95, while Version 2.0 introduces the new Tier 96 gear progression..
- Finish Haven Astray. Reach Level 32 and complete Hidden Mountain Main Chapter 2: Haven Astray to fully open the region and receive the Skygrasp Rope Dart.
Hidden Mountain map and subregions
Players can explore Hidden Mountain as the fifth region. Four main zones and 14 sub-regions make up the map, whose vertical range goes beyond 2,000 meters and covers everything from Mohist ruins beneath the water and labyrinths below ground to cloudways and a city of machines over the clouds.
Named map data puts Shenze at the front door with Millennium Crossing and Meandering Bank; Suixiang at the heart with Precipice Ridge, Mohist City, Jadestream Valley and Old Mohist City; and Heaven’s Threshold in the north with Fuyao Peak, Huigu, Wuxing Rock and Golden Slope.
Aircraft and Shuttle Train serve as transport between regions. After you cross the Misty River, speaking with the Wayfarer unlocks the local map before Heron’s trial.

Returning player catch-up

- Claim pending return or login rewards, and clear obsolete gear and quest items out of your inventory.
- Open catch-up gear chests to replace outdated pieces or fill Arsenal gaps, but compare before investing because they are not a guaranteed upgrade.
- Clear outstanding Breakthrough Trials; Solo Mode has a temporary difficulty option if a boss is out of reach, and check your Sword Trial Energy cap before spending it.
- Open Develop → Improvement Guide to see neglected Gear Enhancement, Martial Art, Inner Way and Mystic Skill progression.
- Gear Enhancement is tied to your equipment slot, not a disposable drop, so switching to Gauntlets does not reset that investment.
The guide recommends approaching the current level cap before harder Hidden Mountain content; treat that as preparation, not an entry requirement.
Divinecraft and mechanism puzzles
Divinecraft is the Version 2.0 questline that teaches how Mohist mechanisms work. Celestial Seize is the main interaction tool: grab, move and reposition objects or mechanism parts to open routes and solve challenges.
Common puzzle types include activating components in sequence, inserting a missing mechanism piece, moving a connected obstacle, using explosives to clear a blockage, and repairing a larger structure. Lu Ban Lock mechanisms use interlocking pieces; rotate the camera to find the piece that can move first, then work outward.

Inner Ways for Gauntlet and Rope Dart builds
Inner Ways are passive skills; you can equip four at once and their effects stack. They upgrade in tiers, each tier costing Tips for that Inner Way, and each is labeled with a Path it synergizes with.
New gear and Inner Ways were added for Gauntlet and Rope Dart synergy. Prioritize Tier 4 breakthroughs for your core four equipped arts before spreading resources; Inner Way Conversion can move upgrades to another art, but only a limited number of times each season.
Oddities, Jianghu Legacies and mechanical marvels
Hidden Mountain has eight Jianghu Legacies and dozens of side stories. It also has five mechanical marvels, each found a different way; the preview names the sound-tracking Jadesong Cicada and water-gliding Wicker Ray.
Oddities, puzzles and secrets are spread across the layered map. Map data records Injustice collectibles per subregion, including one in Millennium Crossing, two in Meandering Bank, two in Precipice Ridge, four in Mohist City, seven in Jadestream Valley, two in Old Mohist City, three in Fuyao Peak, five in Huigu, four in Wuxing Rock and two in Golden Slope.

Mohist Hill sect
Mohist Hill is the engineering sect based in Hidden Mountain, not the region itself. It follows Utility, Universal Love and Non-Aggression; disciples begin as apprentices and progress through research, mentorship and submitted creations toward master artisan.
To join, reach Level 10 and complete Hidden Mountain Main Chapter: Haven Astray. Members get increased blueprint limits, Divinecraft crafting and access to Gauntlet weapons. The Universal Love Shop is open to Wanderers outside the sect, so you can buy Mohist items without switching factions.
The Qiongqi Artificers are the rival faction that treats mechanical power as control rather than public benefit; they are recurring antagonists in the Changeless Heart campaign and supply many mechanical enemies.
Heavenwill Gauntlets and Skygrasp Rope Dart
Version 2.0 adds Gauntlets, a close-range weapon built for fast combos and burst damage. Bamboocut Kite is the Martial Art style that pairs Gauntlets with a Rope Dart, switching between close pressure and ranged control.
| Weapon | How to get | Role |
| Heavenwill Gauntlets | Join Mohist Hill or buy from the Universal Love Shop for 100 Reputation | Close-range combos and burst |
| Skygrasp Rope Dart | Complete Hidden Mountain Main Chapter 2: Haven Astray | Pairs with Gauntlets in Bamboocut Kite |
Joining Mohist Hill requires Level 10 plus Haven Astray. You do not need to join Mohist Hill to use the Gauntlets, because the Universal Love Shop sells them to outsiders.

Hidden Mountain bosses
Hidden Mountain has more than 10 bosses across its four main areas, mixing story encounters and open-world challenges. Mechanical fights reward observing movement, decoding attack patterns and hitting weak points over pure damage.
- Changeless Heart – Zhang Wanshi: commands deadly puppet formations.
- Rosy-Faced Swordsworn: a twin-blade fighter under Zhang Wanshi who turns hanging wires into lethal strikes.
- Ci & Cuo: a synchronized World Boss duo that attacks as a pair, so you must manage two threats at once.
- Ironheart Centipede: uses rapid multi-leg strikes and toxic mist, with segmented hitboxes and clockwork environmental hazards.
The July developer letter named Bell Toller and Golden Colossus as future foes.

Tier 96 gear and gear prep
Version 2.0 adds Tier 96 gear. Compare attributes, set bonuses, Tuning potential and Attuning effects before spending materials; a higher-tier item is not automatically better for your Martial Art path.
Modulating Stones come from salvaging spare Legendary Gear, giving idle gear a use; the Gear Modulating system also gets one-click auto-add and better overflow handling. Other quality-of-life changes include smart material tracking, gear favoriting and a shorter five-day Retuning Correction cooldown.
Tuning Reset applies only to eligible Tier 100 Epic and Legendary gear, not newly obtained Tier 96 pieces; reset attempts are limited, have a cooldown and cannot be reversed.

Version 2.0 launch rewards
The Version 2.0 launch offered 60 free pulls, including pulls converted from Echo Jades, plus three outfits for completing Hidden Mountain version content.
The priority table lists Tier 96 gear and mechanical materials as rewards for challenging world bosses.

Readiness checklist
Before entering, confirm you can pick up Yingying’s Invitation in Kaifeng; it is a long, multi-stage quest, so budget time for it. Before harder content, replace severely outdated equipment, update Inner Ways, finish available Martial Art and Mystic Skill breakthroughs, learn Celestial Seize interactions and keep inventory space free. Join Mohist Hill or visit the Universal Love Shop if you want the Gauntlets before pushing bosses.
