Questie in WoW Forever gives you quest markers, a tracker, quest history and a searchable database, with settings available through /questie. The November 4, 2026 bundle combines Questie 12.6.0 with QuestieDB 1.0.10.

Questie version and beta support

Questie 12.0.1 introduced support for the WoW Forever beta on September 25, 2026, alongside support for all Classic versions. Its initial Forever release lacked the new Forever quest content; version 12.0.4 subsequently added Forever base data to QuestieDB.

Blizzard set the beta's closing time for October 23 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, after the October 21 stress test and a return to beta access.

The November 4 release includes these changes:

ComponentChanges
Questie 12.6.0Adds an option to hide VoiceOver and Spoken playback buttons.
QuestieDB 1.0.10Adds Forever NPC ranks and fractional precision for reputation spillover.

Keep companion data in mind when comparing versions: Questie uses QuestieDB to connect quests with the items, creatures, objects and locations needed to display its information.

Open Questie settings

Type /questie or /q in chat to open the options window. You can also Shift-left-click the minimap button; if you do this during combat, the options open after combat finishes.

The other minimap shortcuts serve different jobs: a normal left-click opens My Journey, while a right-click opens the Questie menu.

CommandWhat it opens or changes
/questie journeyOpens My Journey.
/questie tracker resetResets the quest tracker.
/questie helpDisplays the available commands.

Use the map, tracker and quest history

Quest markers and tooltips

The Questie addon places quest starts, hand-ins and objective markers on your world map and minimap. Creature and object tooltips identify the relevant quest and show your remaining collection progress, while party progress appears in tooltips too.

Questie in WoW Forever also marks available quests outside your current quest log and supplies extra map locations for quest drops. Quest-giver markers can be filtered by level.

Quest tracker

The tracker can display your entire quest log at once; its right-click options let you focus a quest or hide its markers. Quest-completion announcements provide another way to share progress with your party.

Version 12.6.0 added quest-progress tooltips for party members who do not use Questie. It also adds Spoken playback controls to the tracker and prevents Spoken from inserting its own buttons there.

My Journey records dated entries for level gains and quests you accepted, completed or abandoned. Its Quests by Zone view separates available quests from completed ones, and the database search can find quests, NPCs and items.

Use the history when you want to check what you already finished before looking for another quest.

Questie versus the built-in quest helper

Forever already includes quest indicators without addons.

FeatureBuilt-in helper versus Questie
Active objectivesThe built-in map shades objective areas; Questie supplies individual creature or object spawn markers.
Quest hand-insBoth show turn-in locations.
Quest orderNeither provides a step-by-step leveling route.

The built-in helper has separate controls for map objectives, quest-level displays and difficulty colors. The world map's filter menu contains the Quest Objectives switch for objective shading.

If you use a route addon that accepts quests automatically, leave Questie's automatic questing disabled. Keep your Forever addon setup focused on the features you want to change.

Fixes for tooltips, map clicks and quest data

Match the symptom to the version that addressed it before changing unrelated settings.

Map tooltips and combat

Version 12.0.4 added Questie map tooltips under Forever's gamepad cursor, and 12.1.0 fixed missing Questie tooltips during combat. Version 12.6.0 addressed errors triggered while using the settings window.

Map icons and waypoints

Version 12.2.0 changed waypoint behavior and appearance, corrected Lua errors from clicking map markers during combat in Forever, and repaired profession-trainer displays on clients using languages other than English.

Incorrect quest objectives

Version 12.1.0 refreshed Forever quest information using an October 10 data snapshot. QuestieDB 1.0.7 corrected several Forever quests, including objectives arranged in the wrong order.

During beta, some quests were tracked incorrectly by the built-in helper too. If a marker looks wrong, check the quest text before following it farther.
