Updated November 1, 2026 for Halloween 2026.
The 2026 Fellowship Halloween event returned to the Stronghold on October 22, bringing gameplay-earned outfits, returning store cosmetics and new seasonal collectibles. Its reward system lets you work toward outfits for your preferred heroes without repeating last year's requirement to play each specific hero.
How to get Fellowship Halloween skins in 2026
Earn skins and titles through challenges
Use the Seasonal Challenge system to progress toward account-wide rewards and collect Eyes of Newt and Wool of Bat, then spend those currencies at the spectral event vendor in the Stronghold for the hero skins and titles you want. The Challenge page replaced the previous Rewards map and Star Map progression.
Update 0.5.1.0 added more Seasonal Challenges to provide enough resources for all event skins and titles, and adjusted Hero Challenge Dungeon Rating requirements to make them achievable under the revised Eternal structure.
Buy returning outfits in the store
The legacy Haunting collection returned through the store, alongside additional cosmetics for newer heroes. The 2026 previews included looks for Xavian, Gunde and Aeona; store outfits were positioned at prices comparable to the recent Summer outfits.
Other seasonal collectibles include pets, profile cosmetics and a cat wearing a witch hat. Choose your preferred reward before committing your event currencies.
What changed in the October 22 Halloween Reset?
The October 22 reset ended Early Access Season 3 and reset player progression for an experimental development phase toward Fellowship 1.0. Chief Rebel described it as testing major systems on the live game rather than starting a conventional new season.
The reset introduced Adventure Mode, multi-hero matchmaking, Loot 2.1 and a revised Eternal structure. Another reset was planned for late November or early December, followed later by the full 1.0 release.
For the Fellowship Halloween event, treat gearing and reward choices as part of that testing window. The October Reset hero tier list can help you compare hero choices before settling on a main.
Adventure Mode and Eternal progression
Adventure Mode
Adventure Mode replaced the League progression system with an unranked route for new players, returning players and alts. You can continue earning equipment at a comfortable challenge level; choosing harder content is intended to accelerate gearing rather than become compulsory.
The reset's Adventure options are Easy, Medium and Hard, with accelerated early gearing that lets experienced players complete Easy, then Medium, and reach Hard on their third match. That sequence does not grant immediate access to Eternal.
Adventure loot draws from every dungeon in the active rotation, while Eternal rewards come from the dungeon you actually completed. The active pool contains eight Adventure dungeons and two Capstones, with Capstones restricted to Eternal.
Update 0.5.1.0 corrected Adventure scaling so most abilities use scaled damage, while heals and shields preserve their intended share of the recipient's health across different item levels. Your character sheet and inspect window show unscaled stats, and the damage meter displays contributions using your own scaling.
Eternal access and difficulty
| Eternal requirement or structure | October reset rules |
| Access | Average item level 240 unlocks entry. |
| Recommended gear | Chief Rebel recommends item level 270 or higher for a successful attempt. |
| Difficulty range | 32 fixed levels. |
| Capstone structure | Separate difficulty tiers within a 4-4-2 structure. |
Use the recommended equipment threshold when deciding whether to attempt a run, rather than treating the access requirement as a readiness check.
The later 0.5.1.0 update removed Pinnacle Dungeon timers and fixed higher difficulties failing to activate advanced enemy mechanics there.
How to queue with multiple heroes
Multi-hero queueing works in both Adventure and Eternal, with separate queues and saved settings for each mode.
- Open the cog beside the matchmaking button; the default search uses your current hero with Oddcomp enabled.
- Select the heroes you are willing to play and the unlocked difficulty or complexity options you want for each one.
- Save your choices and start matchmaking; the first available match selects your hero and difficulty before the dungeon begins.
- Use the ready check and loadout selection inside the dungeon to prepare the selected hero.
A hero must have unlocked Eternal before you can include that hero in an Eternal search. Before starting a dungeon, you can access your Stash and adjust equipment, Talents, and Weapon and Necklace Trait trees.
Only select combinations you are happy to play.

Currency and crafting after Supplies were removed
Supplies and the Rare and Epic versions of crafting materials were removed in the reset. Marks of Fellowship became less common and are used only to exchange for crafting materials, while Cosmic Threads from progression can purchase Stronghold mounts.
The 0.5.1.0 crafting changes reduced several costs:
| Crafting action | Updated cost |
| Eternal resource exchange | 8 Marks, down from 30. |
| Gem exchange | 3 Marks, down from 10. |
| Pick-one-of-three crafting | 3 materials, down from 5. |
| Combining Gems | The previous 1/3/5 costs became 1/2/3. |
The same update raised the crafting-resource drop chance to 100% just beyond the midpoint of Eternal. It also fixed Bloodstone-crafted weapons receiving the wrong attunement tree and weapon ability.
The modifier crafting process lets you select a modifier slot, choose the modifier type, and choose between a random result, one of three results or an exact result. Weapon and Necklace trees are unlocked by default and can be opened using buttons beside their slots on the Hero Sheet, with the Shrine of Imbuement remaining available.
Loot 2.1 equipment changes
Legendary slots, Relics and Charms
Head, Chest and Legs became the Legendary equipment slots. Set Bonuses were removed, with a selection of their passive effects moved onto Relics; you choose two Relics.
Former Relic active abilities moved to Charms, which provide utility abilities and must occupy a Relic slot to function. Defensive Traits were removed, Neck equipment took a stronger defensive role, and the pool of Blessings was reduced.
The reset changed the stat allocation of several equipment slots:
| Equipment slot | Share after the reset |
| Head | 10%, previously about 9%. |
| Necklace | 7%, previously about 8%. |
| Chest | 10%, previously about 11%. |
| Ring | 6%, previously about 7%. |
| Relic | 6%, previously about 7%. |
| Weapon | 15%, previously about 12.5%. |
Use the Fellowship Hero Builds guide when comparing a hero's rotation and equipment choices.
Rarity and modifiers
Loot quality improves with progression, and the Champion item rarity was removed.
| Item rarity | Modifier count |
| Uncommon | 0. |
| Rare | 1. |
| Epic | 2. |
| Heroic | 3. |
Several modifier categories received new names:
| Previous name | New name |
| Imbued Essence | Embellishments. |
| Heroic Trait | Sigils. |
| Master Traits | Aspects. |
| Blessings | Glyphs. |
| Neck Traits | Protective Enchants. |
Enchants replace the former additional blue stats, providing a pair of secondary-stat bonuses at +4/+4 and scaling to +6/+6 on items of level 300 or higher. Update 0.5.1.0 corrected the displayed Enchant ranks.
Crown of the Wild and hero changes
Crown of the Wild
Crown of the Wild joined the reset as a single-boss Adventure dungeon, encountered relatively early in Adventure progression. Its treetop village uses rope bridges and platforms, with a new druidic faction built around nature and bestial enemies.
The wider dungeon refresh changed enemy placements and compositions, enemy balance, some abilities, Kill Score requirements and timers. Recheck familiar routes before relying on an older pull plan.
Heroes added after the original Halloween collection
Xavian and Aeona were introduced for the Pre-Season that began February 19, 2026.
Xavian is a tank who can shield and heal himself and teammates, although his healing is not intended to replace a dedicated healer. Aeona is a healer whose ability use and damage provide healing to nearby group members.
Combat adjustments in the reset
All tanks gained two Taunt charges. Other named changes included the following:
- Mara: Stalker Step's cooldown became 15 seconds, and Web Crack's range increased to 10 yards.
- Meiko: Shatter Earth, Stone Stomp and Gust cooldowns became 45, 60 and 20 seconds respectively; Resonance of Earth increased damage reduction to 20%, and Peacefield's healing value rose to 80%.
- Elarion: Multishot was fixed so it could damage enemies attached to the player, including chains.
- Xavian: Ruptured Dawn's cooldown became 45 seconds, Invictus gained correct target-count scaling, and Aura of Solace stopped triggering Golden Hour or Rising Spirit outside combat.
- Gunde: Bloodbound Spirit applies Rend for 100% of damage dealt, and Oathshatter's soft target cap increased to 10.
- Helena: Second Wind lasts 14 seconds, Unscarred Soul's relevant Strength scaling rose to 100%, and Razor Crash's target cap increased to 12.
- Rime: Soulfrost Torrent and Frostweaver's Wrath buffs last 24 and 20 seconds respectively, Glacial Blast casts in 1.5 seconds, and Frostwyrm's Spite permits Freezing Torrent while moving.
- Vigour: Residual Luminosity provides 5% damage reduction, and a fix lets it apply when a replacement Luminous Barrier is weaker than the existing one.
- Aeona: Temporal Barrage costs 49 Mana, Paradoxical Twist boosts its primary-target damage by 80% and damage against up to two nearby targets by 50%, and Intercession's cooldown became 200 seconds.
- Tariq: Square Hammer grants 8% Expertise, and Kill Em All's proc chance from offensive abilities increased to 10%.
Slipstream, Undulating Spirit, Pneuma and Burning Initiative stopped granting 50 Spirit at dungeon start. The later 0.5.1.0 update fixed Xavian's Solar Shield so its 20% damage reduction requires the relevant Legendary effect.
2025 event history: The Haunting of Stronghold
Dates, setting and atmosphere
The first event ran from October 30 to November 13, 2025, with both endpoints tied to 7:00 AM CET weekly maintenance and the event opening after maintenance. Its premise followed the Fellowship building its Stronghold among the ruins of a fort in the Vidahlian Woodlands, then encountering the spirits of heroes who had once occupied it.
The 2025 Stronghold received haunted decorations, a replacement music track and eerie ambient audio. The Caretaker of Fallen Heroes sold its event cosmetics and mounts.
The nine original Halloween skins
In 2025, each outfit required 10 dungeon completions on its specific hero during the event, followed by a 60 Gold purchase; earlier completions did not count. Quickplay and Challenge completions were eligible across Contender, Adept, Champion, Paragon and Eternal.
