WoW Classic Plus is World of Warcraft: Forever, which launched globally on November 4, 2026, with access included in an existing WoW subscription. Choose an upgrade for the extras you want rather than treating it as the price of admission.
What happened to Project Camelot?
Project Camelot was a rumored name associated with the WoW Classic Plus project before the Forever reveal at BlizzCon 2026. Forever exists alongside modern WoW and Classic as a permanent destination, with its story positioned after the Forsaken Kingdom campaign and before the original Molten Core raid.
The Classic+ name feels settled to players who point to Blizzard staff using it at BlizzCon and are tired of arguments over the label.
Release date and subscription access
The WoW Forever release date was a worldwide launch. You do not need a separate game purchase to enter with your existing subscription, although the Skyborne race requires an optional upgrade.
Upgrade packs start at $30.
The beta began on September 17, 2026. Treat that start date as a past testing milestone when comparing packs.
Optional packs and their prices
Skyborne Heroic Pack
The Heroic Pack unlocks the Skyborne race and its starting area, and it includes one Invite-A-Friend Launch Code.
Skyborne Epic Pack
The Epic Pack costs $59.99 and includes a month of Game Time, additional cosmetics and three Invite-A-Friend Launch Codes; beta access was another included benefit.
Warcraft Forever Collection
The Warcraft Forever Collection costs $79.99 and includes Warcraft III: Reforged, three Invite-A-Friend Launch Codes and beta access as a testing benefit.
Physical Collector's Edition
The physical Collector's Edition contains a digital Warcraft Forever Collection code and these collectibles:
- Dwarf and Bear statue: A 13-inch display piece.
- Zephras Isle mousepad: A physical mousepad themed around the location.
- Art prints: Printed artwork included in the box.
- Collectible pins: Physical pins included with the edition.
- Companion journal: A journal included among the collectibles.
Invite-A-Friend access dates
Invite-A-Friend Launch Codes give eligible friends access during the November 4–11 launch-week window. Check that window before choosing a pack for its invitation benefit.
New zones, quests and the level cap
Forever's level cap is intended to remain at 60, with ongoing additions built around the original-era world. New content serves the leveling journey as well as characters at the cap.
The world additions include three new zones, changes to existing areas and more than 1,000 new quests. Exploration and community take priority over a single central hero's storyline.
Skyborne, class combinations and talents
Skyborne Elves are the new playable race, with a home in one of the added zones. Fresh race and class combinations, new skills and talent changes are part of Forever's character updates.
The reveal trailer appeared to include a Forsaken Paladin, a Dwarf Shaman and an Orc Mage.
Dungeons, raids and loot
Forever's content lineup includes nine new dungeons. Dungeon and raid equipment received an itemization overhaul, adding new loot to discover.

Darkspear Islands and PvP
Darkspear Islands is the new PvP Battleground in Forever's content lineup.
Camping, professions and account-wide perks
Camping turns the cooking fire into a basic campfire where you sit for about a minute and passing adventurers can contribute to the same camp. Use the pause to ask nearby people about their quests and look for a group.
New profession content, reputations and account-wide perks are part of Forever's additions.
Graphics and character model options
Forever updates world visuals and lighting, and you can choose between SD and HD character models.
Retail features and the arrival of retail players worry some players, who fear Forever could lose its Classic identity and say they would leave if that happened.
