Boreas Questline is a story chapter in Escape from Tarkov connected to the Icebreaker map. It follows the investigation of the nuclear-powered Boreas ship and unlocks access to the Icebreaker location through a long chain of objectives across multiple maps.
You can start Boreas in two ways. The first method is extracting with a Paradigm Shipping poster; the second method is checking the distress signal through the radio system at Intelligence Center level 3 in the Hideout.
Boreas is structured as one large story chapter with many sequential and branching objectives rather than a simple list of separate standard quests. The current Boreas page lists dozens of objectives, including Woods repair, Lighthouse documentation, transport setup, Reserve and Customs branches, Icebreaker entry, engine room access, Lab hacking device placement, C-1 compartment objectives, and BTR Driver evacuation preparation.
Yes. Boreas is the questline that leads to Icebreaker access. Once the required transport and access objectives are completed, players can board the smuggler hovercraft on Shoreline and arrive at the Icebreaker.
AMG-10 hydraulic fluid is a required quest item during the Boreas transport setup. The current Boreas guide lists it as a Found in Raid item found on Reserve with multiple possible spawn locations.
