To complete an Icebreaker raid, you need to access the map through the Boreas story chapter, transit from Shoreline, survive the ship’s AI threats, collect your target loot or quest progress, and extract safely. The initial Shoreline transit requires 400,000 Roubles, while extraction from Icebreaker can require 2,500 Euros and a green signal flare.
The main Icebreaker boss is The Wedge, a Black Division boss found on level 3 of Icebreaker. He is accompanied by 3–6 Black Division guards, with the number of followers depending on how many players are in the raid.
Icebreaker is a location in Escape from Tarkov and the 13th map added to the game. It takes place on the nuclear-powered icebreaker Boreas, owned by Paradigm Shipping and trapped within Tarkov’s blockade in the Gulf of Finland.
Icebreaker is unlocked through the Boreas story chapter. The map can initially only be entered by transiting from Shoreline after unlocking the chapter, with the transit located at the pier and costing 400,000 Roubles.
