The October 27, 2026 WoW Midnight PvP class changes arrived with patch 12.1.5 hotfixes, reducing Fire Mage and San’layn Unholy Death Knight damage in PvP combat while strengthening damage and healing options across ten classes. Your hero talent choice matters here: several adjustments target individual trees rather than an entire specialization.

Holy Paladin and Restoration Shaman had felt left behind to some players in September, with Restoration Shaman considered the weakest healer in those opinions.

What should you check before your next matches?
Fire Mage: keep the PvE buff separate
The separate 5% Fire damage increase in the general class adjustments excludes PvP combat. Do not count it as compensation when reviewing your PvP setup.
Unholy Death Knight: review your San’layn setup
Earlier San’layn adjustments had improved its viability, but Vampiric Strike’s contribution remained higher than intended before this reduction. Compare your results before making a broader talent change.
Devourer Demon Hunter: revisit your build
Use the Devourer Demon Hunter build guide when reviewing your talent choices. Test your setup before deciding whether to change it.
Frost Mage: reassess Frostfire burst
Frostfire had struggled as a competitive option this season; the tuning targets its burst profile to distinguish it from Spellslinger. Test the alternative before committing to a switch.
Mistweaver Monk: reconsider Conduit of the Celestials
The changes address Conduit of the Celestials’ weak competitiveness this season through both sustained healing and burst recovery. Revisit the tree if you previously passed over it.
Holy Paladin: reassess casted healing
The tuning addresses low healing throughput and aims to encourage Holy Light casts. Review your healing choices alongside your mana use.
Holy Priest: examine the whole Archon package
The adjustments aim to improve Archon through group healing and effects triggered by its talents. Evaluate the full set of changes rather than judging it by one coefficient.
Use the WoW PvP tier list as a separate comparison if these WoW Midnight PvP class changes have you considering another specialization.
PvP balance already felt uneven to a few players in September.
I'm going to wow forever. Retail isn't balanced and it's always flavour of the month
