Updated October 30, 2026 for the run-up to the WoW Forever launch on November 4, 2026. The tiers follow test-build tuning and early PvE rankings and change with each class tuning pass.

Discipline and Holy Priest lead this WoW Forever healer tier list for level-30 beta PvE through strong healing, efficient mana use and protective shields. Restoration Druid combines sustained healing with valuable Thorns damage, Restoration Shaman contributes efficient healing and totems, and Holy Paladin trades lower healing output for extensive support tools at that level.

S Tier

Both Priest specializations combine strong healing with mana efficiency, while Wand Specialization lets you contribute damage without spending mana or delaying spirit regeneration.

Discipline Priest

Choose Discipline for prevention through Power Word: Shield and an offensive support toolkit built around dispelling enemy buffs and Power Infusion, which requires level 40. Shields no longer obstruct rage generation for Warriors or Druids, making them easier to use when protecting those tanks. Penance adds a flexible channel that can restore an ally's health or inflict Holy damage on an enemy. Strong healing and efficient mana use give the spec a reliable foundation in level-30 PvE.

Holy Priest

Holy pairs Priest's strong level-30 output and mana efficiency with additional answers to damage across the group. Binding Heal restores health to both you and your selected ally when you are hurt together. Litany of Light rewards changing healing spells by returning mana when your previous heal was a different spell. Wand Specialization gives you a way to deal damage between healing demands without consuming mana or resetting the regeneration window.

A Tier

Restoration Druid and Restoration Shaman combine effective level-30 healing with support that contributes to the group's damage.

Restoration Druid

Restoration Druid offers dependable healing over time and strong mana recovery, with Thorns adding damage when your tank takes hits. Gift of the Earth Mother shortens the global cooldown for Rejuvenation, Swiftmend and Wild Growth so you can apply your tools faster, though Wild Growth itself is a 31-point talent. Revive gives you an ordinary resurrection outside combat alongside Rebirth, expanding your recovery options after deaths. Fast rolling heals and inexpensive casting make Druid's strengths easy to underestimate, in the view of a few players.

Restoration Shaman

Restoration Shaman sustains an efficient healing pace at level 30, although its contribution to group damage is more limited before Windfury Totem becomes available; Searing Totem and Fire Nova still let you attack. Riptide is a 31-point talent, so it is not available at level 30. Your utility includes Tremor Totem against Fear, Charm and Sleep, Grounding Totem to intercept a harmful spell, and Purge to remove beneficial magic from an enemy. Healing Wave's potential stands out to one player.

Rsham has the best single target heal in the game and the biggest scaling in the game on healing wave.

B Tier

Holy Paladin compensates for weaker level-30 healing throughput and mana regeneration with a broad selection of buffs and utility.

Holy Paladin

Holy Paladin's level-30 healing and mana recovery lag behind the other healers, while Retribution Aura contributes damage in a role comparable to a Druid's Thorns. Light's Vigil is a 31-point talent that requires Holy Shock, so it is not available at level 30. Blessings, strong personal survivability and defensive support remain reasons to choose the spec, with Blessing of Protection covering physical attacks.

Biggest Prelaunch Healing Changes

The expanded healing kits give you more opportunities to prepare for damage: Riptide strengthens a following Chain Heal, Light's Vigil works with Holy Shock, and Holy Priest can trigger Prayer of Mending through direct healing. Plan those interactions around incoming damage rather than choosing every cast in isolation.

Priest utility also became less restrictive: Fear Ward extends beyond Dwarf Priests, and Divine Spirit no longer requires the old Discipline talent investment. Use the WoW Forever best race for each class guide to compare racial options before committing to your character.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which healer should you choose for level-30 PvE?

Discipline and Holy Priest offer the strongest overall combination of healing, mana efficiency and shielding in the level-30 beta comparison. Pick between prevention and offensive support with Discipline, or Holy's additional group-healing tools.

Can you clear content with Holy Paladin?

Every healer can complete the content covered by the level-30 beta comparison, including Holy Paladin. Treat your comfort with the toolkit and your group's needs as part of the decision.

Does Restoration Shaman need a melee group?

Windfury Totem is particularly valuable when your group contains several melee attackers, but Shaman also brings cleansing, resistance and mana-support totems. In level-30 PvE before Windfury becomes available, efficient healing remains a strength of the spec.
