Opening Encounter – Destiny 2: Sundered Doctrine

To start Sundered Doctrine Dungeon, go downstairs and follow the path to a big room. You will see Ikora’s Guardians and some artifacts. Take the right exit, run across a bridge, and jump up to the left. Move forward, and you will see Dread enemies and two Subjugators. These Subjugators are not bosses, so you can stun them and finish them easily. After killing all enemies, go to the back-right room. There is a block in the far-left corner that you can jump on. This block lowers down, leading to a big room with more enemies. Defeat them, then look at the back wall and find two red lights. Below the lights, there is a small waterfall with an opening. Drop down here to reach the first encounter.

Encounter 1: Riddle – Destiny 2: Sundered Doctrine

In this Sundered Doctrine Riddle Encounter, you must use darkness beams to match symbols. You start in a room with three lenses. These lenses control the darkness beam. There is a wall with 7 symbol slots. You need to find the correct symbol by killing Truthspeaker Major Grim. Then, use the darkness beam to connect to the correct symbol in one of the four rooms. Kill a Subjugator to collect a lens. Place and rotate it to complete the path. Each round needs more beams to complete. If you make a wrong choice, a Tormentor will spawn.

Encounter 2: Zoetic Lockset – Destiny 2: Sundered Doctrine

To move the wheels, kill Wizards and collect Resonance Splinters. Dunk splinters into wheels to rotate them. The boss will lock in symbols on the wheels. Boss Encounter: Kerrev, The Erased

Kerrev Strategy Guide

1. Understanding the Mechanics

  • The encounter involves a central wheel that activates symbols.
  • Symbols must be correctly identified and activated/deactivated.
  • The mechanic revolves around two truths and one lie.
  • There are multiple rooms where interactions with symbols take place.
  • The objective is to find and highlight the incorrect symbol (the lie).

2. Initial Setup

  • Divide the team into different roles:
    • Symbol Readers: Identify the symbols on the wheel and note them.
    • Activators: Move to specific locations to activate/deactivate symbols.
    • Ad Clearers: Keep the team safe from enemy attacks.
    • Boss Damage Team: Focus on maximizing DPS during damage phases.

3. Symbol Mechanics

  • The wheel displays three symbols.
  • The left side of the wheel indicates the truth.
  • The right side contains one incorrect symbol (the lie).
  • The goal is to activate the correct symbols and deactivate the incorrect one.
  • Activating the wrong symbol will weaken the team’s progress.

4. Execution Plan

  • Step 1: Identify Symbols
    • At the start, observe the wheel and write down the three symbols.
    • Communicate clearly which symbols appear on the left (truth) and right (lie).
  • Step 2: Activate Correct Symbols
    • Locate the rooms with the needed symbols.
    • Activate the symbols on the left side of the wheel.
    • Deactivate the incorrect symbol on the right side.
  • Step 3: Confirm Activation
    • The chat should provide feedback:
      • “Responds to command” (Correct)
      • “Unmoved” (Incorrect)
    • Adjust as needed.
  • Step 4: Damage Phase Preparation
    • Once all symbols are correctly set, the boss becomes vulnerable.
    • Position the team in a safe but effective DPS location.
    • Utilize high-damage weapons and coordinate supers.
    • Use cover to mitigate damage from the boss.

5. Damage Phase

  • Stand in the correct area to avoid unnecessary deaths.
  • Rotate around cover to minimize boss attacks.
  • Save heavy ammo for the final damage push.
  • Repeat symbol activation as necessary.

6. Important Notes

  • If symbols are activated incorrectly, the team will be penalized.
  • Always check the chat log for confirmation messages.
  • Communication is key—designate clear callouts.
  • Adjust team positioning based on enemy spawns and boss mechanics.

7. Loadout Recommendations

  • Primary: High DPS auto rifle or SMG for clearing ads.
  • Secondary: Burst damage weapons like fusion rifles or grenade launchers.
  • Heavy: Rockets or LMGs for sustained boss damage.
  • Abilities: Use healing rifts, wells, and defensive supers for survivability.

8. Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Activating all symbols instead of isolating the incorrect one.
  • Ignoring chat feedback on symbol responses.
  • Poor positioning during the damage phase.
  • Miscommunication on symbol activations.
