Escape From Tarkov is infamous for its difficulty and intense, high-risk high-reward combat. The omnipresent possibility of losing all your hard-earned loot and gear is terrifying indeed, adding a constant feeling of dread to the game. However, there is a way to keep valuable loot and rare items you’ve collected during the raid even after your PMC’s untimely demise by storing them in a secure container. One of the best containers available in Escape From Tarkov is called Kappa Container and is rewarded for successfully completing one very lengthy and tedious Collector quest.
Over 20 rare antiques are required to complete the Collector quest and obtain the Kappa Secure Container. All have a very slim chance to spawn in a myriad of places: drawers, shelves, tool boxes, safes, jackets…well, anywhere, really. Moreover, the items must have an “acquired in raid” mark, which means that buying all the items required from various traders is a no-go. The Collector quest is practically the closest thing to the end-game in Escape From Tarkov and is arguably one of the mandatory quests to achieve your PMC’s true potential.
What items are required to complete the Collector Quest and obtain Kappa Container?
Oh boy here we go:
- FireKlean Gun Lube:
- Location: can be found in industrious areas in toolboxes and crates;
- Golden Rooster Figurine:
- Location: in high-value rooms and safes;
- Old Firesteel:
- Location: in wooden crates and sometimes on the shelves at the Reserve;
- Battered Antique Book:
- Location: anywhere, really. Good chance to find it in libraries (duh), on the shelves, and in drawers at the Interchange’s mall;
- Roler Submariner Gold Wrist Watch:
- Location: mostly in high-value rooms and safes, but has a small chance of dropping from jackets;
- Jar of DevilDog Mayo:
- Location: firstly – ew. Secondly, focus on searching kitchens. While DevilDog mayo can spawn in drawers and closets, kitchens do have a higher spawn chance. Also, mayo found outside the kitchen is somehow even more gross than the regular one;
- Silicone Tube:
- Location: industrious areas. Usually on the shelves or in the crates;
- Silver Badge:
- Location: Office areas, high-value rooms, and less often in jackets;
- Deadly Skull Ring:
- Location: Office areas, high-value rooms, and less often in jackets. Sometimes can be looted from particularly edgy Scavs;
- Silver Pocket Watch on a Chain:
- Location: Office areas, high-value rooms, and less often in jackets;
- Beardo the Axe:
- Location: extremely rare and can be found in high-tier weapon crates and boxes. Once in a decade can be found on Scavs;
- Antique Axe:
- Location: extremely rare and can be found in high-tier weapon crates and boxes. Once in a decade can be found on Scavs;
- Kotton Beanie:
- Location: looted exclusively from Scavs;
- Can of Sprats:
- Location: kitchens and lootable food containers;
- Bairey Cordura Polyamide Fabric:
- Location: military and industrious high-value rooms. Usually in crated or toolboxes;
- Jar of Coffee:
- Location: kitchens and lootable food containers;
- MS2000 Marker:
- Location: Technical supply crates in military and industrious zones;
- Can of Dr. Lupo’s Coffee Beans:
- Location: kitchens and lootable food containers;
- Golden 1GPhone:
- Location: extremely rare, can be found in safes and high-value rooms;
- Vase:
- Location: The Vase can be found in safes, lootable containers, or high-value areas.

What items can I fit into Kappa Container?
Naturally, Kappa Container can’t hold guns, only small items (valuables, usually) such as small loot, provisions, keys, cards, document folders, dog tags, etc. Sure you can stick a couple of knives in there, but we do recommend using it to store items necessary for completing quests, game tasks, and other valuables that you wouldn’t want other players to steal.
Will my sweet Kappa Container survive wipe?
The insides of the container not so much, but the container itself, weirdly, yes. That’s the reason why the Collector is considered one of the mandatory quests to complete for every PMC. Complete this quest at least once, and enjoy a great security container for acquiring tons of other small items necessary for other quests indefinitely!
