Black Ops 7 Season 03 Multiplayer Maps (All New & Remastered Maps)
Season 3 significantly expands the map pool, spanning arctic tundras, naval vessels, remastered fan-favorites, and a Japanese freeway that somehow looks better wrecked than it did intact.
Beacon (6v6)
Set within a remote Guild facility in the Arctic Circle, Beacon drops players into frozen terrain blanketed in snow. The map features a tundra lane and specialized ice walls that support advanced wall-jump maneuvers โ for players who enjoy bypassing ground-level firefights entirely, the verticality here opens up creative movement options that complement the omni-movement system well.
Abyss (6v6 / 2v2)
Taking place aboard a submarine, Abyss runs players through confined quarters from the Engine to the Torpedo Bay, trading shots along narrow corridors with just enough room to outmaneuver opponents. A functional periscope lets you monitor top-side lanes, and ziplines enable rapid traversal across the vessel’s exterior. Fall off the side, and the ocean doesn’t care about your K/D โ immediate environmental death.
Mission Trident (20v20)
The Old Arsenal Avalon point of interest is the latest large-scale area of operations. Patrol boats assist in navigating the waterways and shoreline through harbor warehouses and numerous medieval fortifications. At 20v20, this is a significantly different pace from the rest of the Season 3 map additions and rewards objective-focused play.
Plaza (6v6 โ Remaster)
First introduced in Black Ops 2 and remastered here for the first time since 2012, Plaza returns with updated visual fidelity while keeping the iconic nightclub layout intact. Wall Jumping and Black Ops 7’s movement arsenal add a new dimension to a map most players already know by memory.
Gridlock (6v6 โ Remaster)
First introduced in Black Ops 4, Gridlock gets a visual overhaul set over a Japanese city where an explosive heist has left the freeway in shambles. Battle among overturned vehicles and through rubble, with the remnants of the attack scattered across shops and the Promenade. The geometry has been optimized for the current movement systems while keeping the original layout recognizable.
Season 3 Game Modes in Black Ops 7 (New Modes & Changes Explained)

Several modes return or receive updates in Season 3, with a few worth specific attention.
- Demolition returns to the standard playlist rotation โ attacking teams must detonate both bomb sites while defenders attempt to hold them off, with both sides respawning throughout the match.
- Aim High returns as a limited-time mode where headshots instantly eliminate enemies while shots to any other body part deal minimal damage. It’s a headshot trainer disguised as a game mode, and it completely rewrites how engagements play out โ positioning and aim discipline matter far more here than raw reaction time.
- Snipers Only restricts Equipment, Secondary Weapons, Field Upgrades, and Scorestreaks entirely, keeping the focus on the rifle in your hands. The challenge notches up accordingly.
- Overload receives meaningful rules updates this season. Round time now pauses when either team has possession of the Overload device, and Time To Beat overtime rules are enabled by default. If the second round ends in a draw, it now enters Overtime rounds instead of Sudden Death โ the first team to deliver and score in Overtime sets the time to beat, and the second team must match or beat that time to win. If you’ve been playing Overload without understanding why the pacing shifts dramatically late in a match, this is the reason.
- Safeguard also sees adjustments: if the robot is successfully escorted to the goal in the first round, the time limit in the second round is adjusted to match the time to beat, and the round time limit has been increased to 5 minutes.
- Season 3 Moshpit is a new playlist featuring 6v6 respawn modes on Beacon, Plaza, and Gridlock, as well as Face Off modes on Abyss.
New Weapons in Black Ops 7 Season 3 (Full Weapon List & Prestige Attachments)
Season 3 introduces four primary weapons at launch, each with a defined unlock method and a Prestige Attachment that meaningfully alters how the weapon functions.
MK35 ISR (Full-Auto Assault Rifle โ Battle Pass)
A full-auto assault rifle with the lowest recoil in its class. Combined with a fast fire rate, the MK35 ISR pumps out rounds while staying on target โ low recoil for excellent accuracy with moderate damage and handling. The Prestige Attachment adds an integrated suppressed barrel, making it a strong candidate for quieter, methodical playstyles.
VST (Full-Auto Submachine Gun โ Battle Pass)
A lightweight full-auto submachine gun built for up-close hit-and-run tactics. The VST offers the highest accuracy in its class for bullet spread, along with impressive handling and mobility. Notably, it supports multiple calibers โ the Prestige Attachment introduces a caliber swap that extends effective range for mid-distance engagements, an unusual capability for a weapon in this class.
Strider 300 (Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle โ Event Reward)
A bolt-action sniper rifle capable of downing unarmored enemies in one shot from the chest up, with fast handling offset by a slow rechamber. The Prestige Attachment removes both aim sway and the need to hold breath, at the cost of handling speed. For players who commit to a position and stay there, this trade-off is well worth taking. Unlocked through The Lost Outpost event.
1911 (Semi-Auto Pistol โ Weekly Challenge Reward)
The iconic 1911 joins the Black Ops 7 arsenal as a semi-auto pistol with high damage at close range, decent recoil control, and modest ammo capacity โ it outshines every other option in its class for effective damage range and damage per shot. With its Prestige Attachment equipped, the 1911 converts into a full-auto sidearm with noticeably heavier hitting power. It’s a sidearm that stops pretending to be a backup option. Unlocked via Weekly Challenges.
New Weapon Attachments
Three new attachments also arrive in Season 3:
- VAS Convergence Foregrip (Battle Pass): Underbarrel foregrip that improves bullet deviation and recoil stabilization for a smoother, more predictable recoil pattern
- Shadow SK 12-Gauge Masterkey (Weekly Challenge): Semi-auto underbarrel shotgun for close-range lethality; harms handling of the base weapon but improves vertical recoil control and flinch resistance
- X9 Maverick Javelin Assembly (Weekly Challenge): Launches a lethal spear projectile at high speeds capable of piercing and impaling enemies
Season 3 Weapon Tuning & Balance Changes (Buffs, Nerfs & Meta Impact)

Season 3 brings significant weapon changes to boost weapons that have seen lower usage since launch, while reining in a handful of overperformers. Here’s what matters for the meta.
Rapid Fire Overhaul: Burst Weapons
Many burst weapons are receiving adjustments to their Rapid Fire attachments this season. The pattern across affected weapons: Rapid Fire now also improves burst fire delay โ reducing the time between bursts โ which is a genuine buff to consistency at close and mid-range. The tradeoffs are steeper, though. Expect damage range reduction increased, muzzle velocity reduction increased, and horizontal recoil penalties increased across the board. These changes apply to both the base weapon and the Rapid Fire attachment simultaneously.
- X9 Maverick: The Bolt Carrier Group (Rapid Fire) now improves burst fire delay by 6%, making it more forgiving at close and mid-range. Damage range penalty increased from 10% to 20%, muzzle velocity penalty increased from 10% to 20%.
- M8A1: Receives the same Rapid Fire burst fire delay improvement (6%). Damage range penalty increased from 10% to 20%, muzzle velocity penalty increased from 10% to 20%.
- SwordFish A1 (Major Nerf): The SwordFish A1 has been overperforming significantly. It now requires 4 bullets to kill, though landing Upper Torso shots or higher improves that. Maximum damage reduced from 35 to 31, minimum damage from 30 to 27. Headshot multiplier improved from 1.1x to 1.3x, and neck/upper torso multipliers were added at 1.2x as compensation. Handling nerfs applied across the board โ ADS time, sprint to fire, slide to fire all increased. The Rapid Fire attachment’s vertical and horizontal recoil penalties increased from 30% to 35%, and damage range and muzzle velocity penalties both increased from 8% to 20%.
- M34 Novaline: The opposite problem to the SwordFish โ it needs more consistency in its one-burst potential. Fire rate within the burst improved from 600 to 750 RPM. The Rapid Fire attachment fire rate improvement increased from 10% to 20%, though damage range penalty increases from 10% to 25% and muzzle velocity from 10% to 30%.
ADS Movement Speed Changes
ADS movement speed improvements and ADS movement speed penalties are adjusted throughout the Season 3 weapon tuning block. Slower-firing weapons see movement speed penalty reductions as compensation for their lower fire rate โ a consistent nudge toward rewarding accuracy over raw mobility. The Sokol 545 (LMG) sees its firing ADS movement speed penalty reduced from 20% to 17.5%, and the MK.78 from 30% to 25%.
Key Buffs
- AK-27: ADS time improved from 270ms to 260ms. Maximum damage range extended from 21m to 22.9m. Battle Scar Conversion gets 1.03x neck and upper torso multipliers.
- SMG buffs across the board: The Ryden 45K, RK-9, Razor 9mm, Carbon 57, and MPC-25 all receive meaningful damage range extensions and handling improvements. The Razor 9mm also gets reduced view kick and gun kick, with the Wildfire Conversion receiving its own damage range buffs and a new 15% hip spread improvement while sprinting.
- Peacekeeper MK1: Horizontal recoil significantly reduced โ this weapon now feels more like a consistent AR than it has previously.
Key Nerfs
- Kogot-7: Has been at the top of the meta since Season 1. The Long Barrel’s damage range improvement drops from 28% to 23%, and recoil control improvements are reduced across multiple attachments โ VAS Drift Lock Foregrip horizontal recoil down from 30% to 24%, EMT3 Radix Stock down from 15% to 10%, and several others trimmed similarly.
- M15 MOD 0 and Dravec 45 also receive adjustments โ increased view kick and gun kick on the M15, and significantly increased horizontal recoil on the Dravec 45 to target its mid-range performance.
Shotguns
Most shotguns receive small, far-range lifts to improve TTK at extended distances. The Echo 12 Backlash Launcher receives notable improvements: detonation delay after bounce reduced from 200ms to 150ms, explosion inner radius increased from 40 to 55, and explosion middle radius increased from 80 to 95. The SG-12 Prestige Attachment is nerfed โ decreased fire rate and slightly more Tactical Stance Spread, as the combination of handling, spread, and DPS was still too strong after previous nerfs.
Best Loadouts in Black Ops 7 Season 3 (Meta Weapons & Builds)

Season 3’s balance adjustments shift the weapon meta toward consistency, recoil control, and adaptable range performance.
Top Meta Weapons
| Weapon | Class | Why It’s Strong |
| AK27 | Assault Rifle | Buffed damage range and ADS time; fast TTK rewarding accurate headshots |
| RK9 | SMG | Buffed damage range across all brackets; competes at mid-range unusually well |
| Peacekeeper MK1 | Assault Rifle | Horizontal recoil reduction makes it significantly more consistent |
| Razer 9mm | SMG | Across-the-board buffs to range, handling, and recoil; dominant in CQB |
| Voyak KT3 | Assault Rifle | Reliable at all ranges with consistent damage output |
Attachment Strategy
Two primary build paths are viable this season. 8-Attachment Builds (Gunfighter Wildcard) offer maximum recoil control and versatility at the cost of a wildcard slot. 5-Attachment Builds are more accessible, focused on core performance stats. In most cases, prioritize recoil control and damage range over mobility โ the Season 3 meta rewards players who hold angles more than those who simply move faster.
Recommended General Setup
- Perks: Flak Jacket, Scavenger, Looper
- Lethal: Semtex
- Tactical: Stim Shot
- Field Upgrade: Assault Pack
Ranked Play in Season 3 (SR Changes, Rewards & Competitive Updates)

The Ranked Play system continues to mirror the official Call of Duty League (CDL) ruleset. As the season progresses, new maps and weapons are reviewed by the league for potential competitive inclusion.
Skill Rating (SR) changes in Season 3 target SR inflation at the top end of the ladder. The system is now more punishing for losses, with the explicit goal of ensuring high ranks reflect a genuine win rate rather than accumulated playtime. Adjustments also prevent players from becoming hard stuck in upper tiers โ the loss penalty is more carefully calibrated than it may feel in the moment.
Season 3 Ranked Rewards
These rewards are only available during Season 3 and cannot be earned afterward:

Black Ops 7 Endgame Mode (Now Free to Play in Season 3!)

Season 3 marks the beginning of Endgame as a free-to-play mode for a limited time, accessible from the main Call of Duty menu and within both Warzone and Black Ops 7. Players who do not own Black Ops 7 begin their Endgame journey with four Operators to choose from: Mason, Anderson, 50/50, and Samuels. It’s the most accessible entry point the mode has had, and worth trying if you’ve been on the fence.
Operation Poison Pill Guide (Rewards, Objectives & Boss Fight Explained)
Season 3 introduces Operations into Endgame, kicking off with Operation Poison Pill. Operations run on a series of strict objectives designed to be cleared across multiple matches โ complete objectives, earn rewards, and systematically power up your Operator for the fight ahead. Completing the final objective unlocks direct access to the Link Forger Glitch Fracture, a Nightmare Difficulty arena where you and your squad battle through relentless enemy waves.
Operation Poison Pill Reward Track:
- “Poison Pill” Weapon Charm + 1,000 XP
- Restore Token + 1,000 XP
- 1 Hour Double Player XP Token + 1,000 XP
- “Node Husk” Emblem + 2,500 XP
- 1 Hour Double Battle Pass XP Token + 2,500 XP
- “Toxic Entry” Large Decal + 2,500 XP
- 1 Hour Double Weapon XP Token + 5,000 XP
- “Thorned Muzzle” Loading Screen + 5,000 XP
- “Looking Good!” Emote + 5,000 XP
- “Venomous Override” AAROW 109 Launcher Blueprint, “Fractal Death” Animated Calling Card + 7,500 XP
Defeating the Link Forger Glitch Boss with Grimm, Mason, or Anderson unlocks their unique “Override” Operator Skin. Earn one Override Skin for the “Blighted” Weapon Camo; earn all three for the “Virulent” Animated Weapon Camo.
New Abilities and Warband Skill Track
The Aether Blade arrives as a new minor ability โ an Aether-infused throwing knife that hunts down targets. Hit five enemies with one toss to recover a portion of its charge. The Thermal Spike emits a pulsing fire blast to clear surrounding enemies, strong for area control in tighter encounters.
The Warband Skill Track is a new progression path offering airborne superiority through attack drones and reinforcements via converted enemies. Skills include:
- Plague (eliminated enemies can explode and convert nearby enemies into allies)
- Wirehand (eliminations have a chance to spawn an attack drone)
- Smuggler (chance to instantly replenish used Equipment and Scorestreaks)
- Bloodrunner (damage bonus for rapid multi-kills)
- Healthhounds (damage and eliminations from summoned allies restore health).
Particularly effective for solo defensive builds.
New Exotic Weapons
Two new Exotic Weapons are added in Season 3:
- Collateral: Full-auto assault rifle enhanced with ricochet rounds for widespread lethality. Affinity for Incendiary Rounds
- Continuum: Bolt-action sniper rifle modified for aggression and potency. Affinity for Graviton Rounds
Loadout and Progression Updates
Starting in Season 3, Endgame Loadouts are individually assigned to each Operator โ each has their own weapons, Field Acquisitions, and Equipment, allowing a unique exotic weapon configuration for every Operator and builds that are unique for each fighter.
- Reset Combat Rating: Players may optionally reset an Operator’s Combat Rating to 0 to start fresh with a new build. This preserves the Operator’s Loadout (weapons, equipment, and rarity are kept), but resetting the Combat Rating will discard Exotic and Nightmare skills.
- Reset Skill Track: Once you’ve fully progressed an Operator’s Combat Rating by unlocking all Power Upgrades and Skills, you may reset one Skill Track. Resetting removes all associated skills and reduces the Operator’s Combat Rating by 16 to reflect the lost power. This is a separate action from resetting Combat Rating entirely โ understand the distinction before committing to either.
- Restore Tokens: With a Restore Token in your inventory, you can activate it to restore all lost progress, including your Operator’s Skills and current Loadout. Earnable through Operation Poison Pill, with additional acquisition opportunities expected during the season.
Updated Loss Rules
If a player or squad is wiped, the total Combat Rating lost from earned Skills and Power Upgrades is capped at 15 CR per wipe. Nightmare Skills and Exotic Skills are still fully lost on a wipe, and the player’s Loadout is reset. Because these skills contribute to total Combat Rating, their removal also reduces CR accordingly.
Black Ops 7 Zombies in Season 3 (New Modes, Maps & Rewards)

Zombie Battle
A competitive PvE free-for-all mode where four players share the same space while fighting off their own relentless hordes. Out-survive opponents through superior zombie killing skills in the Starting Room arenas โ players cannot damage each other or affect one another with Equipment, Scorestreaks, or Field Upgrades. The last player standing wins. Available on Paradox Junction, Astra Malorum, and Ashes of the Damned.
- Rewards: Whimsical GobbleGum after Round 5, a chance at two Whimsicals at Round 10+, and two guaranteed Whimsicals at Round 15+.
Ashwood Survival Map
A survival-specific map set in a Civil War-era town within the central grounds of the Ashes of the Damned environment. Thick fog significantly limits visibility, making the Pack-a-Punch Machine considerably more dangerous to reach than usual. Navigation and awareness become as important as raw firepower here.
- Survival rewards: “Klaus Der Toten” Animated Emblem + 1,000 XP (Round 10), “Abomination Carcass” Weapon Charm + 2,500 XP (Round 25), “Hidden Power” GobbleGum + 5,000 XP (Round 50).
Cursed Mode: Ashwood
On top of the standard Survival experience, Cursed mode is available on Ashwood at launch, offering a more challenging experience with Relic tiers. Survive and apply Relics to earn: “Time Out” GobbleGum + 10,000 XP (Round 25 with Tier 1 Relics), “Perkaholic” GobbleGum + 20,000 XP (Round 50 with Tier 2 Relics), and “Mannequin Turret” Weapon Charm + 30,000 XP (Round 75 with Tier 3 Relics).
Directed Mode: Paradox Junction
Season 3 brings Directed Mode to Paradox Junction, offering on-screen quest steps and a max round cap of 15 when taking on the Main Quest. Players who complete it on Directed Mode earn the “Timeshatter” Blundergat Wonder Weapon Blueprint, the “Paradox Junction Directed Mode Completion” Calling Card, and 5,000 XP.
Starting Room Mode: Paradox Junction
Paradox Junction joins the Starting Room mode in Season 3. All doors are locked โ no escape, just the starting area with everything you need: Mystery Box, Wallbuy (Jรคger 45), Ammo Cache, Quick Revive, Rampage Inducer, Arsenal, GobbleGum Machine, Time Travel (after Special Rounds), Random Perk Machine (Past Nuketown), and Loot Cyst.
Toten (Season 3 Reloaded โ Mid-Season)
Coming in the mid-season Reloaded update, Toten (referred to as Totenreich in official materials) is a large-scale round-based Zombies map set on the coast of Norway during WWII. It features six cursed relics and a new ultra-rarity wonder weapon variant. This is the headline Zombies addition for players willing to wait for the mid-season drop.

Motion Sickness Settings in Black Ops 7 (Season 3 Accessibility Update)
Season 3 introduces a dedicated accessibility update for players who experience discomfort during extended sessions. The Motion Sickness Reduction Preset โ replacing the previous Motion Reduction Preset โ now includes a Dot Grid overlay (Standard, 60% opacity, Regular) shown to help reduce motion sickness symptoms for some players. Additional related settings can be adjusted for further customization beyond the preset. If you’ve been playing through discomfort or avoiding the game for this reason, this section of the settings menu is worth revisiting.
Call of Duty Warzone in Season 3 (Updates, Maps & Gameplay Changes)
In Call of Duty Warzone, development focus remains on iterating from player feedback around loot drops and cradle breaches. Map rotations between Avalon and Verdansk operate on a timed cycle, keeping the environment varied throughout the season. New tactical elements include grappling hooks and classified weapon crates, and a Death Tax system reduces player cash on elimination โ a financial consequence to dying that shapes both aggressive and passive play decisions.
Season 3 continues to support various LTMs to test new mechanics. Looking toward the mid-season Reloaded update, Hot Pursuit is expected to return with a new spin, integrating vehicles and high-action gameplay into the Black Ops Royale experience.
Best Settings for Black Ops 7 Season 3 (Controller, Graphics & Audio)

Consistent settings make a measurable difference to accuracy and situational awareness. These are the adjustments worth making before anything else.
Controller and Aim
| Setting | Recommended Value |
| Button Layout | Tactical (faster crouch/prone transitions) |
| Sensitivity | 1.2โ1.5 |
| ADS Multiplier | ~0.7 |
| Aim Assist Curve | Dynamic |
- Movement: Disable Sprint Assist and Mantle Assist to prevent unintended movement inputs. Set Slide Behavior to “Tap to Slide” for faster responsiveness.
- Visual: Set FOV between 100โ120. Disable Motion Blur entirely. Reduce Camera Movement for visual stability during fast turns. If motion sickness is a concern, enable the Motion Sickness Reduction Preset under Accessibility before making any other adjustments.
- Audio: Set Audio Mix to Headphones Bass Boost and lower overall gameplay volume to better isolate footsteps and directional audio cues โ this is a competitive edge that costs nothing to set up.
