The FFXIV Lodestone character search finds another player by their name plus their server. The search page also lets you narrow results with filters for Data Center / Home World, Class/Job, Race/Clan, Grand Company and Language. Once you open a character, the public profile shows the Lodestone ID, visible achievements and titles, current visible gear, mounts and minions owned, and maxed jobs.
How to run a character search
Go to the Lodestone for your region — na, eu, fr, de or jp — and open Character Search. Enter the player's name together with their server to pull up their character. The search form carries the same filter set the character listing uses: Data Center / Home World, Class/Job, Race/Clan, Grand Company and Language.
The Grand Company filter covers Maelstrom, Order of the Twin Adder, Immortal Flames and No Affiliation. The Language filter covers Japanese, English, German and French.
What the search filters cover
| Filter | Options |
| Data Center / Home World | Region and world selection |
| Class/Job | All jobs and classes |
| Race / Clan | All races and clans |
| Grand Company | Maelstrom, Order of the Twin Adder, Immortal Flames, No Affiliation |
| Language(s) | Japanese, English, German, French |
A search that matches nothing returns no results, so check the spelling of the name and that you picked the right server.
What a public profile shows
A Lodestone character profile gives you the public Lodestone ID along with visible achievements and titles, current visible gear, mounts and minions owned, and maxed jobs. That makes it the standard way to show your character to someone outside the game, and the usual check when a static wants proof of a title such as Ultimate Legend or World First.
The profile is a snapshot of current character state, not a planning tool — you cannot use it to plan best-in-slot sets. It also shows only a fraction of character state: main gear yes, full inventory no. Achievements can lag after a clear, so verification is not always instant.
What the Lodestone is not for
Combat analysis is out — the Lodestone has no parser or logs. Deep database queries are also out; for things like which items drop from a boss and their sub-stats you need a dedicated database tool. Searching by a specific achievement, a particular job or gear item level is hard, because the primary search is by name plus server.
If you would rather have someone else handle the in-game work while you sort out your profile and search, an FFXIV Hourly Driving boost puts a booster on your character for a set number of hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I search without logging in?
Most Lodestone functions are free and login-free; logging in is required to post on the official forums or configure your profile.
Does the profile show everything my character owns?
No. The Lodestone shows a fraction of character state — main gear yes, full inventory no.
Why can’t I find a player by their achievement?
The primary search is by name plus server, and searching by a specific achievement, particular job or gear item level is hard.
How current is the data after a clear?
The Lodestone can take hours to sync achievements after a clear, so don't expect instant verification.
