The WoW Forever Server Slam is scheduled for October 21, offering a stress-test window before the game officially launches on November 4. Blizzard previously announced that servers would open for several hours during a Server Slam so that anyone can access the beta. A dedicated test client is already downloadable through the Battle.net launcher, appearing even on accounts without regular beta access.

Rulesets and server infrastructure
PvP servers split opinions among community members, with many players disliking ganking and corpse camping while others enjoy the persistent danger.
World layering handles realm capacity across the unified regional playerbase. Layering systems receive mixed reception from testers: many players feel the tech successfully connects familiar faces, while others argue it harms community, with one player observing, "Still doesnt capture the spirit of what vanilla had. I shouldnt have to group with someone just to see their face again.".
What content to expect
The current beta testing cap reached level 30 following an update on October 1. Week-one testing included the Skyborne race, Zephras Isle, all zone content up to level 20, and two early dungeons: Hall of Thanes for levels 13–18 and Ruins of Lordaeron for levels 15–20. Characters created during test phases do not carry over to the live game.
