What should you expect for progression and customization?
Crucible progression and endgame access
Saber intends to retain separate Crucible progression for each class, with further data guiding possible adjustments to progression speed and individual Penances. Game Director Dmitry Grigorenko explained: “We just need more time to analyse it.”
Level requirements are planned for endgame activities including Hard Stratagems and Hard Siege; a requirement to equip a Team Perk is currently outside those plans. Treat these as future access changes when planning your progression.
Armor options and starting equipment
- Blood Angels Champion: Grigorenko pointed to substantial future customization improvements in this area without committing to the specific requested changes.
- Tactical: Deathwatch backpacks and devices are planned; Grigorenko explained that the Omni-Scrambler is unavailable to Intercessors in the lore.
- Mk VI Corvus greaves: Plans include placing emblems or decals on the upper part of the greaves.
- Backpack emblems: This remains a backlog item that the team intends to revisit after its other planned customization improvements.
- Sniper hoods: Additional hood options and recoloring are being developed.
- Starting equipment: Saber wants to preserve exploration and randomized equipment in PvE, citing the likelihood that free selection would make melta bombs the default choice alongside equipment-restoring perks.
