Updated October 15, 2026 for the TBC Anniversary realms.

To level Jewelcrafting from 1 to 375 on TBC Anniversary realms, craft wire, stone statues, and metal settings through level 300 before transitioning to Outland gem cuts in Hellfire Peninsula. Pairing the trade with the TBC Mining guide supplies the raw ores needed for crafting and Prospecting, lowering total expenses. Draenei characters gain a passive +5 bonus from Gemcutting, allowing recipes to stay orange for five additional points.

Required Tools

Before crafting, purchase two essential items from a Jewelcrafting Supplier or General Goods merchant:

Jewelcrafting Trainer Locations

Rank progression requires character level thresholds and visits to specific regional trainers.

RankRequired LevelTrainer Locations
Apprentice to Artisan (1–300)Character level 10–35Silvermoon City, The Exodar, or Outland cities
Master (300–375)Character level 50–55Honor Hold, Thrallmar, or Area 52

Alliance players train Master Jewelcrafting under Tatiana at Honor Hold in Hellfire Peninsula near coordinates (55, 64). Horde players visit Kalaen at Thrallmar near coordinates (57, 37). Both factions can also train under Jazdalaad at the Stormspire in Netherstorm around coordinates (44.4, 34.0).

Prospecting Skill

Starting at skill level 20, players can learn Prospecting to destroy five raw ores in exchange for random uncut gems. The required profession skill increases with the ore tier:
